This Carson Sprint Circuit Race is a 4-Lap on Asphalt, and contributes 250 Points towards completing the Gold Wristband, and pays the winner $18K (not including bonuses).
Restrictions for this race are Class-A cars or below, with FWD.

First this should be the race in which you complete the Gold Wristband Points - so well done you!
The course for this race is rather tetchy - there are a lot of hidden objects along the edges that can really mess you up - tip you, spin you out, and cause you to come to a screeching halt. So avoid the edges where you can.
It will take a lap or two to fight your way to the head of the pack mostly due to the overly aggressive nature of the racers for this race. But that's OK it is all part of the fun. The thing is, you need to get to the front of the pack and then you need to stay there (obviously).
Flynt will try hard to regain first position, so creating a bit of a gap is obviously a good tactic to use here. You can make some mistakes and still catch and pass him, but once you do you need to not make mistakes in order to stay ahead of him.
Winning this race gets you the completed Gold Wristband -- and thus you need to make a decision here... The last race has now been added to the game map - but we still have more than a handful of Gold Races to complete, and then there is the last Showcase Race, which you will unlock during the doing of the last Gold Races thanks to gaining popularity.
Obviously you cannot do the final Showdown for Flynt's ride until you beat him at the last race, but hey, why not finish off the rest of main Festival Races prior to taking on the last race? Yeah! Good idea!
