Port-a-Fort is one of the newest items that has been added to the Battle Royale Game Mode of Fortnite. As the name sort of hints at, the Port-a-Fort is basically a portable fort. When obtained and carried by players, the Port-a-Fort is in the shape of a small grey cube. When a player so wishes to use it, the cube can be deployed to create the beginning of a fort.

The fort that is created by the Port-a-Fort is made of pure metal, the strongest of all the Materials found in Fortnite. Unlike most structures, the Port-a-Fort constructs its fort in basically no time at all. The fort that is created in made of just one column approximately two stories tall, with a ramp-like funnel at the very top. On top of this, a tire can be found at the base of the fort, allowing players to jump on it in order to be sprung to the top of the fort. Though basic in more than a few ways, a player can continue to build the fort should they so wish.

The best aspect of the Port-a-Fort is how quickly the structure is built after the item has been deployed. Even though you can build a structure similar to it especially quick when playing Fortnite on a PC, the same cannot be said when playing Fortnite on your mobile phone. This is why the Port-a-Fort is such a valuable item to have. If you're looking to obtain a few Port-a-Forts, you can only find them randomly in Vending Machines (Epic Rarity). Even though they will only drop in single quantities, all players can carry up to five Port-a-Forts at any given time.
