If you're new to the Battle Royale Scene apart of Fortnite, then you probably know better than anyone else that there can be quite a bit to take in your first time around. At first, you may think it's a free-for-all that relies solely on obtaining the best Weapons in order to win; however, there is a whole lot more Strategy that goes into winning a Battle Royale (and multiple for that matter). If you're just starting out and are looking for some help, then definitely take a look at our Beginner Tips below to better your Battle Royale Game!

15 Battle Royale Beginner Tips

1) Adjust your settings to better fit your style of play. Before the Battle Bus takes off, definitely make sure to take a moment to adjust your settings to better suit how you like to play video games. If you need more or less sensitivity, you can change it as you so please. If you want to adjust the textures or turn off the grass, you can do that as well.

2) Practice your Shooting in the pre-deployment area. This will provide you with a real feel for aiming, shooting, and reloading a Weapon, as well as for switching between a number of different Weapons.

3) Choose a landing spot where you think is deserted. If you land in a highly popular area, there is a higher chance you could be killed before even having a chance to find some Weapons.

4) Fall as fast as you can. After taking your leap from the Battle Bus, make sure you fall as fast to the ground as you possibly can. The quicker you reach the surface, the better your odds will be at grabbing the best Weapons available.

5) Take shelter immediately after landing. No matter the first Building you see after reaching the surface, head straight to it in order to take cover. This will lessen the chances of you being discovered, giving you more time to look for Weapons and resources.

6) Avoid the storm. This is best done by alternating between being within the eye of the storm or taking cover within a Building. You will never be able to fully outrun the storm, and if it captures your character, you're as good as done.

7) Listen for others. If you hear footsteps, doors opening and closing, or Shooting, it is best to avoid the areas where you hear said sounds coming from. The longer you avoid others, the greater the chance of your survival.

8) Save your resources for your final enemies. It might be fun to see how many enemies you can kill, but the goal of the game is to survive ninety-nine other participants. That said, simply try to avoid other people as long as you can while yet still stocking up on your resources. Save said resources until there are only a few of you left.

9) Always close the door behind you. If a door to a Building is open, this likely means someone is in said building. To avoid giving yourself away when you find an unoccupied building, always shut the door behind you. This is also give you a chance to defeat anyone who tries to suddenly come in.

10) Avoid open areas. Always do your best to hide behind trees, bushes and buildings in hopes of not being spotted. If you aren't covered, it is so much easier for others to find and kill you.

11) Don't fire purely for fun. Only use your Weapons when you actually need to, as it will save you loads of ammo. Most weapons are also extremely loud, so firing could warrant some unwanted attention.

12) Stay on high ground. Not only will this help you avoid others, but it will also give you the inside track of killing those who can see you from way down below.

13) Trick others by leaving a door open. Believe it or not, some players will actually look to go into the open door of a Building, hoping to kill those who they believe are inside. You can tricks these players by opening the door of a building and the hiding just outside behind a tree or something. This will give you a free opportunity to kill these overly ambitious players.

14) Set down traps as much as you can. These babies can lead to some easy kills if placed in the right spot, such as in front of the door to a Building or just in front of a glowing Treasure Chest. Without knowing, other players could actually kill themselves by moving to quick.

15) Stockpile shield potions, They can help you take alive when you're in danger of being killed or are in a straight line of fire, so keep as many as you can possibly find. They will come in great use!
