Chapter 2 - Magic Academy (2nd Visit)

Upon returning you have 12 hours of free time. Below is a list of things you can do, besides talking with all NPC's which have new dialogue. All of the conversations/scenes/events below take up two hours of free time each. Keep in mind that some events disappear when you have only 6 hours of free time left (you need 8 hours or more for those), while others appear at 6 hours or less. See the list below for details.

- At the Front Gate you can speak with Enra (the man with the exclamation mark above his head). The reward is a HI-POTION.

- At the Fountain Plaza is a man you can speak with. The reward is an ELIXIR. There's also a woman on the other side of the fountain called Celestia. Speaking with her triggers a scene. The reward is a DRY ETHER.

- At the Airship Dock there's a kid you can speak with. The reward is a HI-POTION.

- At the Central Hall, somewhere in the center, you can speak with the Class 8 Moogle. The reward is a MEGA POTION.

- At the Crystarium, you can speak with Machina. A short scene plays and your reward is a DRY ETHER.

- At Class 0's Lecture Hall, speak with Moglin to do classes. There are two available. Combat Basics: Primer (2000 EXP); and Support Magicology: Primer (Support Magic +2. Each one takes 2 hours to attend. For the first class you attend, Moglin gives you a TURBO ETHER.

- At the Arm's Research Lab you can speak with King to get an ETHER as reward. Speaking with Kazusa (the man in the labcoat, only available at 6 hours of free time or less) triggers a short scene. The reward for this is an ETHER. You can speak with him again and he'll bring you to his secret lab (next to the Crystarium) where a weird scene plays. The reward is another ETHER.

- In the Student Lounge, speak with Carla to trigger a scene. The reward is BEAUTIFUL FUR. It is advisable to get this since it can be used in a quest later on.

- At the Terrace there are even four conversations to be had, but whether or not they are available depends on how much free time you still have left. The man in the corner near the sigil has the hots for a woman named Emina; he's available with 8+ hours of free time (not with less; 6 doesn't work). The reward for speaking with him is a HI-POTION. Rem and Machina are on the balcony; speaking with them triggers a scene, the reward is a MEGA POTION. They are also available with 8+ hours of free time. A lady called Emina appears on the bench at 6 hours of free time or less. Speaking with her also triggers a scene. The reward is a HI-POTION. Lastly, speaking with Class 3's Moogle grants you a MEGA POTION. He's always available.

The choice is mostly up to you, as you can see. Obviously a Hi-Potion from a random NPC kid is less valuable than a unique cutscene or higher-valued items or classes. Doing Moglin's first class is recommended since he throws a bonus Turbo Ether in the mix. I would personally advise to watch as many cutscenes as possible. The rest really is up to you. When you're all set and have used up all your free time, speak with Kurasame in the Lecture Hall to start the next mission.
