Laning Phase - Safe Lane

Added:

In the safe lane, the carry must farm with little contention, the supports must get what they can by pulling, create stacks that the mid hero or carry can take later on, zone out the enemy offlane hero, and eventually take down the first tower.

The supports do the heavy lifting early into the game. They are tasked to deny as much experience from the enemy offlane as possible, and to safeguard the farming carry. Besides harassing the enemy offlane out of experience range, they can also do this easily by stacking the easy camp once and pulling the neutrals toward the next wave. This move isn’t done as much as possible. This is only done when the creep equilibrium is near the offlane tower. If this is done when the creep wave is near the safe lane tower, the carry would need to tank the creepwave and receive damage while trying to last hit under the tower. This might even give an opening to the enemy safe lane to pull his creeps to the large camp, or possibly even kill the safe lane.

The carry has to get as much last hits and deny as much enemy creeps as possible. They should also try to participate in kills whenever possible. They should also be aware of the map as they are high value targets to the enemy. If a carry is not a very mobile hero, be mindful of enemy locations and do not go for dives under the enemy tower. Keep in mind that a carry’s core items should be complete by the time the laning phase ends.

In addition to protecting the safe lane carry, supports now have additional roles of securing the safe lane bounty rune for priority heroes (carry or mid) and/or stealing the enemy’s offlane bounty rune if all enemy heroes are visible in the map during even minutes. During odd minutes, supports must maximize the new spawn time of neutrals if stacking is necessary for mid heroes to power farm.

The safe lane can also choose to push the tower early if the enemy offlane has decided to commit to full time jungling. By destroying the tower early, the whole team will be injected with much needed gold and supports can transition toward other lanes and push, or place wards to get vision advantage toward the next stage of the game.
