As important as it is to make sure that your team drafts a good combination of heroes, it is also vital to look at the enemy draft and pick heroes that counter enemy heroes. Similarly, enemy drafts can have holes that players can exploit such as those mentioned above.

In counter picking, always think of what advantage you can have over enemy heroes. If the enemy carry and support are melee, ranged nukers and harassers would fit well into the draft. If the enemy mid hero lacks mobility, skills that reduce movement speed may be enough to secure a kill.

Keep in mind that an entire team composed of heroes picked to counter enemy heroes may not work as well as a well rounded team. Players should look far into the game and pick against the biggest threat in the game.
