10 Things Absolutely Broken In Pokemon GO

Shiny Pokemon

When Shiny Pokemon were first introduced to Pokemon GO, players were excited to hunt for what are the rarest of rarest Pokemon. If you aren’t aware, Shiny Pokemon are extremely rare in the Mainstream Pokemon Games. Out of every Pokemon you find in the wild or in eggs within these given games, you have a very slim chance of that Pokemon being shiny. The odds of doing this in these games are extremely low, being less than a fraction of a fraction of one percent. But since they are so very hard to come by, since makes Shiny Pokemon some of the most sought after and coveted Pokemon in all of existence. So you can see why players in Pokemon GO were so excited at finally hunting for these types of Pokemon, as finding one, or how so many saw it, would nab them an almost priceless Pokemon.

Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case, as it turns out that Shiny Pokemon, at least in Pokemon GO, are pretty darn common (breaking the previously set standard for them). To start, Shiny Pokemon can be found in roughly one out of every five hundred or so Pokemon. Compared to the Mainstream Pokemon Games, this WAY easier to do. On top of this, many players believe that chaining can improve these odds immensely. Chaining is done in Pokemon GO by only battling one species of Pokemon over and over again, usually done at Pokemon Nests that see many Pokemon of the same species appear constantly. Using this technique, some players have caught five or more Shiny Pokemon within just an hour. This makes Shiny Pokemon as valued as a regular old Pokemon, and is way it has found its way onto our little list.
