10 Things Absolutely Broken In Pokemon GO

Slaking

In the Mainstream Pokemon Games, Slaking is an extremely powerful Pokemon. Actually, Slaking statistics are very similar to that of Legendary Pokemon. This is very strange for a normal Pokemon that isn’t in the classification of Pseudo Legends, since no other normal Pokemon outside of them should have stats similar to Legendary Pokemon. However, unlike the Pseudo Legendary Pokemon, Slaking’s come at a cost in the form of a truly crippling ability. This ability is known as Truant, causes Slaking to not be able to attack every other turn. More often than not, this sees Slaking as borderline useless in the Mainstream Games. It has a niche in competitive play because it can be withdrawn every other turn to avoid this, but overall, Slaking is never able to live up to the potential of its amazing statistics.

Because abilities don’t exist in Pokemon GO, this made many players of the hit mobile game think that Slaking would be one of the best Pokemon ever to come to the game. But even though Slaking can reach a Maximum Combat Power Level that no other Pokemon, whether a Legendary Pokemon or not, has seen before, soaring higher than 4500, the developers have found a way to to still hinder Slaking. Instead of it now having an ability that attempts to cripple it, Slaking is prevented from doing absolutely massive damage by having the fast attack of Yawn. Yawn does zero damage to opposing Pokemon whatsoever, only help Slaking to gain energy to unleash its Special Attack. This was a great attempt by Niantic to prevent Slaking from being too overpowered, but, unfortunately, Slaking still has found its way to becoming the best Pokemon presently in Pokemon GO. Whether as a Gym Attack or Gym Defender, Slaking can literally do it all. And with its Combat Power soaring over 4500 and Slaking still being able to destroy opposing Pokemon with its Special Attacks, Slaking has got to be the most broken Pokemon or thing in all of Pokemon GO.
