Ranking The Ten Pokemon Champions

#4) Lance

It is at this point in our countdown where things get a bit interesting, as the remaining Champions are really the best of the best. After much consideration and debating, we decided that Lance should be ranked as the fourth best Pokemon Champion. This might outrage some Pokemon Fans, perhaps even more than Red's ranking, but we really feel this is the best spot for him.

Lance was the Original Pokemon Champion, at least to the Anime Series and Game Series. He was also the Original Dragon Master. That's right! Before there was Clair, Drayden, and even Iris, there was Lance. He was one of the strongest trainers back in Pokemon Red and Blue, perhaps even stronger than Blue. His Dragonite, along with his other Dragon-like Pokemon, posed a great challenge to ever trainer. His Pokemon were just so fast and strong, and it's no mistake as to why so many trainers had to rechallenge the Elite Four over and over. Defeating the first three Elite Four Members was no walk in the park, but then you had to face Lance. Lance could and did stop many trainers dead in their tracks. Once you finally beat him, you had the task of now facing your Rival, Blue. Yeah... The Kanto Pokemon League was CRAZY.

But that wasn't the end for Lance. He actually became Champion once again for the Johto Pokemon League, becoming the only trainer to be a Champion in two consecutive Pokemon Games. You have to be a pretty darn good trainer, along with being a fan favorite, in order to receive this honor, and Lance was the person.

You may be wondering why if Lance was so great, why he ranked so low. The answer is simple: The other three Pokemon Champions played a much bigger roles within their given Games.
