Far Cry 4 Expansion Content to Shape Story

When Ubisoft announced a $30 Season Pass for its epic action-adventure romp Far Cry 4 the news reassured the fan base that FC4 would indeed be on the receiving end of expansion content. With such an involved and entertaining series that makes perfect sense. The question is, considering how the main story line ends, just what would the new content be like?

Ubisoft is betting that the new content will keep fans happily engaged and entertained, but to be sure they shared some of the details for the game expansion... Official word was posted to the main website and in Ubisoft information feeds.

At launch the game included a special add-on mission called The Syringe that has the player(s) preventing the antagonist, King Pagan Min, from retrieving a rare chemical weapon recipe and using it against the rebellion.

The expansion content includes the Hurk Deluxe Pack, a five mission addition that features that lovable idiot Hurk - a merc you may remember from Far Cry 3. Though the actual details for the missions are so far a bit obscure, the comic relief that Hurk delivers is well worth the effort.

In Valley of the Yetis the game takes a very twisty approach to the question of just how the line blurs between the fantasy and reality content it contains. The protagonist Ajay crash lands on a Himalayan ridge, and must trek through a frozen landscape, scavenge for tools, and upgrade your campsite just to survive the environment.

When the sun goes down you had best hope you did a good job of equipping yourself, because out of the darkness comes a deadly threat in the form of a mysterious cult - and if that was not enough as Ajay explores a cave on the mountain he encounters the beat that lurks within -- perhaps proof that the Yeti does exist? We won't know until we know. Like all of the other expansion content, this one is playable by both Single and Multi-player modes.

Based upon its other action-adventure game series the decision to go with early expansion content in Far Cry 4 is a very good sign of things to come for the game.
