10 Non-Scary Halloween Games
3. Luigi's Mansion
Luigi's Mansion was the Nintendo 1st party GameCube release title that fans didn't really want. Instead of another fun platformer starring Mario, we got a game about Luigi wandering about a ghost infested dungeon looking for his lost brother. But, just because it wasn't the game fans wanted at the time doesn't mean that it's a bad game.
Luigi's Mansion moves at a slow, methodical pace… which makes sense, since Luigi's scared out of his wits the entire time. He moves through the mansion, one room at a time, sucking up ghosts with a crazy powerful vacuum unit. Also, there's a whole button dedicated to Luigi shrilly calling out Mario's name, so that's entertaining too. It's a short adeventure, and by no means really scary, but it's a fun experience to be had, and certainly one that fits well in the theme of Halloween.
Of course, if you don't have a GameCube or have already beaten Luigi's Mansion, the 3DS game Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon might be able to satisfy your ghost-sucking cravings… and since it's on the 3DS, you can play as the cowardly plumber anywhere!
You named mine #1 on this list... lol I am a huge fan of Costume Quest. I was, however, slightly disappointed with CQ2, as I thought it felt much shorter than the first one. But maybe that's only cuz the first one also got Grubbins on Ice.
