8. Halloween Flop

You probably have not heard of Halloween Flop—I know I hadn't until I started doing some research for this list. But, this fun and free indie game is well worth the download, especially during this Halloween season!

Halloween Flop follows the trials of three ghoulish creatures as they try to find who stole their possessions, because without them they won't be able to scare the kiddies on Halloween night. The game ends up being an RPG (as it was made in RPG Maker), but the battle system ends up being somewhat unique. Every enemy ends up being one of three types, and the three types have a rock-paper-scissors sort of effect on each other. Therefore, it's important to keep your own strengths and weaknesses in mind, lest the enemies suddenly get the advantage on your party.

Halloween Flop is very short: The adventure probably won't take you much longer than an hour to complete, making it a perfect rainy-Halloween-night type of game.
