Top 5 Most Over-Hyped And Underwhelming Games Of 2013

1. SimCity
How the mighty have fallen. There once was great honor in the banner of SimCity. When it unprecedentedly received front stage attention during trade shows, the reboot of the progenitor for simulation games through the ages sounded like it was getting the care it deserved. Once more, people would be able to return to the source of management games, building something great from humble beginnings.

In a way, it's still possible to perform some outlandish feats, but it isn't like it used to be. Oh, did they botch this one up. They messed it up so bad that it's debacle hasn't fully settled today. Map sizes have been shrunk to size, content has been chopped up into parts and most of all, a social feature was crammed into a franchise built on lone accomplishments. Few want SimCity to be a shared event online, even fewer would like to perpetually stay connected.
Worst of all; what really skyrockets SimCity to the top spot, is that EA and Maxis weren't even properly prepared for the inevitable backlash they designed themselves and basically released a game that was only inoperable by its own blockades. For shame, SimCity, you ruined a legacy. That's a hard thing to accomplish.
Okay, with Revengeance on the list, this site loses all relevance.
Seriously. Naming Metal gear rising revengance.
Dead pool? It's a comedy game, not a overwhelmed game
Are you crazy? Why do you blame SimCity´s demise on SimCity, when it´s clearly all EA´s fault- as per usual.
Come on.
Well this site lost all credibility by naming MGRR.
Can someone explain to me why Aliens colonial marines is not on here, yet Boishock Infinite is?
Dead Space 3 overhyped?!? Are you crazy? It was a great game! Heck I enjoyed it....
Though it was already available on PC long before it came out on consoles, Diablo 3 was a bit over-hyped too. I know people would be quick to come to the game's defense, but there has to be a better formula than playing through a game five or six times (through a lackluster tale) just to earn weapons and armor that are not aesthetically nor statistically pleasing enough to make it worthwhile. That, and the auction house fiasco damaging the game's reputation, didn't make this game as accessible for the general public as much as the diehard fans just dying to meet the devil again.
good list !!
Agreed...
