Also known as the Main Gate, this area is located at the northern area of the map and is covered by flaming torches. Guards Copper and Booker are stationed at this outpost and they are responsible for security, visitor traffic, and lost and found concerns.

Booker, who is assigned on the left side, handles the "lost and found" and current events. You need to go to him if you are looking for special visitors. The only exceptions to the rule are Gulliver, Pascal, Pete, and visitors located at The Roost; as he will not know anything about them. This applies to Blanca as well if you haven't drawn a face for her or conversed to her yet.

He is accompanied by Copper, who can assist you in visiting other player's towns or inviting guests to come over. You can aslo go to him if you need friend codes for connection to Nintendo. He can also provide details of his tasks at the area by choosing "Where am I?".

There is also a "change flag" that you can pick from the options that allows you to use saved designs from the Able Sister's Store as your official town flag.

Asking "Something lost?" at the gate lets you check the lost and found. This is how you can get back your lost goodies. Once the item limit for the lost and found gets filled up if you always leave it unchecked, newer items will "overwrite" the previous items and replace them totally. So just be sure to check it out as much as possible.
