Commander Skills

Upgrading your Commander Skills is really important, you have to remember to do this when you get new skill points. But you also have to apply the skill points correctly. You can get to Commander Skills from the main game screen and going tapping your avatar in the top left of the screen, then selecting Commander Skills.

War Skills and Development Skills

There are two main sections for you to spend your skill points on, War and Development. War skills will help you in combat on the field against other commanders and against the zombies you encounter. It will also help you in the defense of your City. Development skills will help you in the gathering of resources, building and research, all essential things that you need to boost to get yourself a good start in the game.

What Skills to Develop First

Our recommendation is to focus on development skills early in the game. The first skill, building speed, max that out then move down the skill tree. Only later you should worry about adding war skills as you probably won't be doing much combat early in the game. Better to work on your resources and city development first.

How to reset skills?

If you make a mistake with applying skills to your commander, then you can reset your skills but it does cost 1000 gold to do this, so try not to make any mistakes! There may become a point in the game when you start to battle more, and would like to focus your skills on war. At that point it could be 1000 Gold well spent to recover all of your used skill points and redeploy them to war instead of development.
