Never mind the bus station. Use the Stadium instead. It is way, way better for getting rid of the cops and it has a cooldown spot. The Stadium (which is near the top of the city) Has a cooldown spot just outside it. And all you have to do is lure the cops to the stadium and hit one of the poles on either entrance untill you loose them, which is usally instantly. Then go to the cooldown spot just outside it. Thrust me, this is way more effective than the bus station.
