Can you delete a profile?

No I'm affraid sorry, I've been in the same situation as you
You can create three profiles. When you try to make a fourth it will prompt to overwrite a save slot. I just made two 'guest' accounts to delete the file I didn't want. (purchased game used off eBay)
There is no option to 'reset to factory defaults' though..
From the load screen go to alias manager then delete it will let you delete any profiles you want - hope this helps with your question
