Can you get your heat level past 5 after you have evaded the level 6 pursuit at the end of the game? And whats the highest heat level that you can get in the black edition because I've read somewhere that it's 7?

No the highest is lvl 5 apart from the last lvl.

Even after you've completed the game your stars only go up to 5.

In black edition under the challenge series the black edition puts you in a 67 camaro against supercharged rhinos at heat level 7 you must get a bounty of 500,000 and evade the pursuit to win. And also in the challenge series when you get to the last challenge for a while it's heat level 5 then it turns to 6. Hope I helped.

Really you can get to heat level 6 but only in the black edition

You can't get 7 heat, even in black edition. The highest is 6, and you only get that in the end.
