The cd must be full of scratch marks or just corrupted.

You disk could be scratched in which case cleaning it wouldnt really help, or it could be your PS2's laser needs to be cleaned aswell. If both of these are wrong I suggest you take your PS2 to someone who can look at it and fix it. Sorry if I didn't help!

Call up a video store and ask if they have a disk cleaning device (heaps of places have them) ,if so take San Andreas down there and you can get it cleaned for about $7 - $25. My San Andreas game went all glitchy ,black and didn't load properly. I took it down to the video place and they cleaned 4 $13.
Just too let you no mine stuffed up again 'bout 3 months later :(

And if it is new you can get a new one for free from where you got it.
Or call up a number @ the back of the San Andreas Booklet and ask about it.

I hope I helped.

Either because you've used too many cheats or just really scratched the disk.

That has happened to me and I found out that the game was covered in dust so try cleaning your disk if that still doesn't work then it is probelly your PS2

This happend to me.

First you need to clean you're disk, there are many ways to do so (I never usde the right one) but you can go to best buy and buy some special disk cleaning stuff.

If that fails you need to bring your PS2 in and have the laser repair, the lasers break really easy on ps2 I had to repair mine twice in a year and the last time it all broke down and it wasnt worth fixing.

If you wanna risk it you can disassemble it and remove the dust. I found a lot of dog hair in mine, which is funny cause my dog was never near my ps2. I highly adice you don't do this, but it is an option non the less

This happened to me :D
Press the open button on your PS2.
Then press it again.

It worked perfectly for me, and you don't have to re-start your game.

It also happend to me it's because your ps2 lens is scrached I realized that with all of my games I had my ps2 lenz replaced and on san andraes I had a crack on the data part and it worked twice as good and all the cheats worked perfect I had the ps2 on for 2 months without it freezing up on me I just turned it off because of the powerbill lol
