You press R1 to aim at him and then press up on the directional pad. HOPEthisHELPS

You press R1 and hold to aim at him and then press up on the D-pad and when they follow you press down on the D-pad to order them to stay press up again to make them follow and press a hold down on the D-pad to get rid of them.
