Question for Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3

I really want to know why I can't turn super sayain in Dragon ball z budokai tenkaichi 3 on the ps2 no matter how many times I push r3 it wont work and strangely enough I can turn super sayain on Tenkaichi 2. and get

What you ca the mid or endr is in the beginnig or of itn change but not at the beginning

It is definetly wrong and the user is probably not experienced in the game.

It takes blast stocks to be able to transform. 1-3 depending on the hero. Goku is mostly one blast stock if you change to super saiyan and other levels of super saiyans.

You have to press the left and right analog stick.

Sometimes on the ps2, the buttons need to be held down to work. Least that seems to be my case. For instance if I start a fight with full blast stocks with goku(end) and vegeta (2nd form) while they are talking at the beginning, I hold up arrow and R3. As the match actually begins goku flies up and the fusion begins. Hope this helps.
