Use ones that raise his attack power, Ki power, and Ki charging speed. Then you have a legendary super saiyan Broly that owns and can't get knocked back easily.
Depends on what you're play type is.
If you like to be far away and shoot ki on him I supose you shuld take the blue items +3ki and +3super and I can't rememmber it's name think it's Latent Energy or something so you get full ki at the start of the battle.
For me I'm more as a smash guy so I take´s the items to decrees his dragon homing ki usa and then I usally make him better in clashes.
But well it depends on how good you are at the game.
