To beat Volgin very easily make sure you go fast using your CQC and your tranquilizer gun make sure you're shooting at his head or he will go crazy on you beating you up electrified and then you will throw up. Caution if you throw up Volgin will kill you easily and if your stamina is lowered your strength is not strong enough to beat him make sure you have alot of food to energize your stamina. Hope this helps.

For anyone who is stuck at this area, if you know what I'm talking about, the area surrounded by the electric fence, kill the guards and the dog, then go all the way down to the left side of the fence, there should be a flashing box, shoot it the electricity will turn off, then just climb under the fence, and instead of going to the other side of the wall and wasting your time with the door, just walk towards the patch of grass on the side next to you, crouch down you will see a hole in the wall, just crawl through and you're in

Jailhouse Jonny's talk: when your in the cell after the torture scene the guard will be throwing food to you. Throw the food back to him three time's and you'll have a cut scene which gives you the code for the radio to unlock the cell and your KO cigg's

The end (reckless boy):(this cut scene is very hard to get) when you verse the end in a sniper duel stay just outside of the grass and look through your sniper, (this is bit is where it gets hard) if your lucky you will have the end walking behind you and (of course) he'll shot you in the head and you'll have a cut scene where the end will pick you up and take you back to graniny gorki(or whatever(if this cut scene happens when you get nocked out by the tranq rounds well this was a waste of time)

The transmiter: when you go into the survival viewer after you just come from the torture, don't take out the transmiter. When you reach the waterfall after you escape there will be a cut scene where EVA tries to take it out of your back.

Boxes can be great tools,depending on how you use them.Somethings to know about them are....
1.They should only be used in the area they are labled,except box C.
2.Guards know boxes don't move but with a box as a disguise you can run right by scientists,they will just stare.
3.If a guard is suspicious,dont move and don't give him a chance to lift the box.When he gets close enough burst out and fight.
4.While in a box call SIGINT,its funny[sort of].

When you see the end's parrot shoot with the Mk22 but do not pick it up.when the bird wakes up it will circle around the end's head and he will say pesky bird.

If You Took The Alternate Way Of Killing The End (By Killing Him With The SVD
Outside Ponizvje Warehouse) Then You Will Face A String Of Ocelots In Each Area

You DO NOT Have To Kill Them All, But I Would Advise You To Take Out The Snipers (Check The High Up Places And The Places On Top Of Rocks With Lots Of Grass.. If You STILL Can't See Them, Watch Out For Their Scope Flashing.. That Happens When They Aim Where It's Light, Or Aim At You)

Good Camo Index Is Really Important In This Scenario.

Never Throw 3 Grenades From The Same Place

If You're Sniping, Always Take Out The Closest Enemy, Because They Are The Most Likely To Hear The Shots Go Off.

Distraction Items Are Very Handy (Un-Wanted Food, Books, Magazines)

In Graniny Gorki, It's Easier NOT To Use The Scientist Camo.. This Will Only Slow You Down If You Need To Draw A Weapon, But If You Prefer To Stay Disguised, Then Get The "Cig Spray" From The Lower Floor, Near Granin's Office.

Water Camo Is Near Enough Useless In The Water, Go Deep Enough, And Any Camo Will Go To 80+ Camo Index

Killing Should Always Be A Last Resort, If An Enemy Soldier Discovers A Body They Will Call In A Search Party, But With An Unconcious/Sleeping Enemy They Will Just Wake Him Up.

Smoke Grenades Are Very Effective If You Are Surrounded By A Group

If You've Taken Out A Provisions Store House (Food Hut) Then Even Back-Up Will Be Hungry, They Will Say Something Like "Munchies" And Run Over To The Food.. An Easy Way To Sneak By.

Try And Keep A High Camo Index At All Times.

One Of The Most Important Thing To Remember Is That You Don't Need To Kill/Stun Everybody.. It's Just As Easy To Run Past And Save Yourself Some Ammo & Stamina.

Whenever The Boss runs at you,hold R2 and select none.This way she can't take your weapons.

Here is a list of camoflauge when you beat bosses using only the mk22 or the mosin nagant, and what they all offer. And a description on how they look.


Ocelot:animal camo--- stops hand trembling when worn. It is very effective in desert areas like the mountains. It looks the the skin of an ocelot.

The pain: hornet stripe camo---when worn you are able to tame hornets. To do that just shoot a hornet nest and come close to the hornets while wearing the camo and they will fly around you,and when you come close to the enemies they feel the pain! The camo is yellow and black stripes.

The fear: spider camo---when worn your camo index is always 80% unless you run. This is a very effective camo for stealth but drains stamina very quickly. It is yellow and black and it looks very cool. the end: mosin nagant rifle/moss camo--- when you defeat the end using the mk22 you will get the mosin nagant. It's a sniper rifle that doesnt kill but tranquilizes enemies, it very loud.If you manage to sneak up behind the end and hold him up he will give you the moss camo. It makes your camo 100% when you are prone in certain grassy areas, and you can gain stamina if you stay in the sunlight. Very effective if you have no food. It is green and black

The fury: fire camo--- not much to say but that it reduces your damage taken from fire by 50%. It isnt very effective for camoflauge. The camo is red and black

Volgin: cold war camo--- this is a very effective camo if there are alot of enemies in the area trying to kill you. Just face an enemy and he will hesitate to shoot/ but if you turn your back to an enemy they will shoot. Thats because the back is american flag and the front is soviet flag. This camo isnt very effective for stealth at all.

The boss: snake camo--- this is the ultimate camo. It works better in some areas than others. The reason I say it's the ultimate camo because it will always give you a + on your camo index where ever you are, wheather it's grassy areas or swamps it's a great camo to use. The camo is blue and black in color.

Never walk over to another guy in a lab coat, he will go and sound the alarm, never intterogate a scietist the'll just say something stupid like I need to go to the bathroom and never give you any info for anything so when you see one just kill them.

Here is a few hints for the game that you may find useful or funny.

-Box Conversation-

If you go in a box (found in the razzvet in operation Snake Eater) and phone Sigint, then Snake will start talking about it being his destiny to be in the box. It is REALLY funny.

-Boss Help-

If you want to kill Volgin, The Boss or another one non-lethally, then here's a tip. Use the Cigar Sleep Gas (Found in the Graniny Gorkin place or whatever it's called. It's in the room in the basement that's opposite another room with a scientist and a tv in it) against them. It might not take off much but it gives you time to prepare for your next attack.

-Transmitter Trouble-

When you are in the prison cell, don't remove the transmitter in cure. Go to the waterfall where you meet EVA with it still in you and there's a really funny cutscene where EVA tries to remove the transmitter. And I mean REALLY funny. (WARNING: THERE IS A GUARD AFTER YOU FACE THE SORROW SOMEWHERE IN THE AREA IF YOU HAVE THE TRANSMITTER SO BE CAREFUL)

-The End Help-

There are two ways you can kill The End.
1) After the cutscene where you see him in a wheelchair, quickly shoot him with the SVD. Beware, the wheelchair will go flying and land on top of you if you don't move. The SVD can be found in the area just left before you go into the area with the cutscene. (WARNING: IN SOKROVENNO WHERE YOU SHOULD FIGHT THE END, INSTEAD THERE SHOULD BE LOADS OF GUARDS THERE)
2) Kill him in a sniper battle in Sokrovenno. You can kill his parrot which flew over to the top of a log just to the left. The area The End starts off in is on a cliff in the north-west. To get to him sneak into the north area and head west until you can't go further. Then head down into the south. You keep going down until you can see him. Do what you like with him from then.

-Short River-

If you don't like the length of the river while facing The Sorrow, then it's your own fault. Don't kill enemies if you want the time it takes for you walk through the river to end shorter but tranq. Them with the EZ gun or the MK22. I once went through the river with only five people there, The Pain, The Fear, The End, The Fury and The Sorrow.

To beat Cornel Voligin on European Extream, try and get close to him so he will try to punch and kick you and simply dodge his punches and kicks and PRESTO! His back is given away to your MK22, 45, etc....

Sneak up to The End when he is hiding on top of a cliff and roll at him, rolling at him will cause him to fall off the cliff and is an easy way to kill The End and it's funny watching him fall.

When you're fighting The End, sneak up behind him with spirit or just move with the directional buttons and don't hold him up, right before you're near him roll at him and throw him of the cliff, it's easy, it will kill him quicker and you'll know where he's going to go next just by looking at him run away!

In any level of the game, when you get close to a guard get a silent gun, and just soot them in the head. And if there are two people grab one while the other one isn't looking.

The tsuchinoko (soo-chee-noh-koh) is a wierd snake in sokroveno after you fight the end. In the area you start in after the movie where he dies (sokrovienno north I think), look at the map.

Go th the south east (bottom right) exit and put a mousetrap in the first grass on the inside west side (or at least that's where I put it).

Stay clear of that part and muck about until you hear a noise (the sound when items appear), but don't leave sokrovienno north until you hear it. Go to where you put the mousetrap and it will be there. (If you do not believe it exists, keep calling para-medic and she will tell you)

Also, during the fight with the end, take the northmost exit from sokrovienno south to sokrovienno west. The first log you see (slightly north) has the ends parrot on it.

It dosen't do anything and it tastes awfull. Its hard to spot and it flies away when you get too close but comes back when you leave.

I went for the Stealth Camoflauge recently. I Played through the whole game with:

-No Kills
-No Alerts
-No Continues
-10 saves
-A time of just under 3 hours.

I recieved the Stealth Camoflauge as expected, but to my surprise I also recieved the Infinity Face Paint. I had always thought that capturing the Tsuchinoko was the only way to get the Infinity Paint.
Just a little hint if you don't like the idea of fiddling with mousetraps trying to catch that flipping snake, or trying to resist the temptation to eat it!

Well you know if you save the game when you are in the prison cell and you turn off the ps2 and load it again there is a mini game well if you contact Sigint after he will tell you about his terrible dream of poo!

When you are going down the runway on the bike and being persued by Volgin in the shagohod and all those pesky bikes use your mk22 on the drivers and have a good laphe

After being torchered, Snake is thrown into a cell right, well the prison gaurd is quite unlike any other you will come across, his name is Johnny Saski, and he really is a nice guy, well, when he throws you food, throw it back out and he will thank you and eat it, after 3 meals, a cut scene will start, Johnny will start talking to Snake about his family back home, and shows him a photo, but on the back of the photo is a radio frequncy, put it in to unlock the cell door, I recommend veiwing the cut scene, so you have it in the movie veiwer, and it has a funny little thing in it too, hope this helps!

In the first mission when you first see the enemes go to the swampy looking area, inside a log is a pair of thermals.In the opp SE there are nvgs in the cave and in grozji grad.

There are three easy ways to get out of the jail cell.
1:go into cure mode and spin the heck out of snake,in the middle of the floor he will puke and the guard will say oh are you ok OR did you puke aww jeez ORewwwww you puked,then he will come in and unlock the door , knock him out or interogate him.

2:when you are being tourchered in the torcher room when the boss saya run press R1 and the sorrow will hold the frequince 144.75,as soon as he goes to the bathroom.call the #.

3:go into the cure mode and extract the death pill and use it it will take efect and the guard will anounce your death.
