Do I have to earn there respect?

As far as I know, there are no ways to get gang members to follow you. Unless you do the "Trojan Voodoo" mission after which the Haitians attack you on sight.

I guess you wanted to ask this in GTA SA, cause you can't make any gang member follow you in VC.
