Date of Question: Feb 28 2009 | Question ID: 139242 How do I get the masks at the friendly mask shop? I'm still Young Link and have all the three Elemental Stones too.

Its impossible to have the three stone and not have a mask without using using a cheat device. Go to the entrance of hyrule castle and you will see the owl. Make your way to the side of the castle without being seen. There is a man fast asleep you can't proceed till you wake him up so go back to where you entered the area there should be a girl she will give you a noisy chicken. Make your way back to the sleeping man at the side of the castle and use the item what the girl gave you he should wake up. After that bush the block so you can get into the little hole at the side when your in navigate your way to princess zelda. After the convisation you will recieve a letter got to kakariko village and go to the guard at the entrance of death mountain. Show him the letter that you recieved from princess zelda and he will give you something that allows you to by a mask from the happy mask shop. NOTE: Like a said before you can not burchase a mask if you have use a cheat devic

The above user isn't completely correct.
The Mask Shop will coincidentally open when you hand the note from Zelda to the Goron Trail guard in Kakariko Village. However, you can choose not to go to this shop, which would allow you to get the three stones before going to the shop.
However, the shop will be open by now.

After you get the letter from princess Zelda, you take it to the guard in Kokariko Village he will ask you to go to the mask shop and get a mask for his son. You go to the mask shop and get the fox mask to sell to him.
