Look for the house near the stairs in Kakariko Village. You should find him snoozing there.

Thank you Guest that said it was the house with a pickaxe sign!!! I was stuck at this part for thirty minutes! I'm supposed to go to the forest temple but I want to wake up the miserable guy in the lost woods! Thanks you so much for the help!
