I can't put my staircase anywhere why?

Have you build rooms in your 2nd storey? You need to build rooms upstairs first before you can place the staircase in your home.

I made a room special for the stairs but it still won't let me out my stairs anywhere

To make stairs on Sims freeplay I would recommend making the second floor room in which the stairs will be identical to the room below it. Make sure you have space between the wall and the stairs so that your Sims can access them. You also have to make sure that you have enough construct-o-coins to be that certain type of staircase. To gain CC's go to The Community Center and wood work on the second floor to create your staircase! Hope this helped!!!

Earn 220 cc then build second floor.... Cheapest stairs are 10 cc . Buy them and make enough room for them hope I helped

When you built the second floor, you have to use the button built more room, then built ON THE SECOND FLOOR when youre done built the stair on the first floor (THE STARIRS Must be builted under the new room you just created at the second floor.)thats the way to built stairs to second floor.

None of these answers helped me, I'm still having trouble trying to work out where to play my stair case in my house, so I can get up the stairs to upstairs.. Please help!!

Look, when you buy the second floor. It's just black, right? That's because there isn't any rooms on the second floor. So you click the room icon. And build the rooms identical to the bottom floor. Then go back to the previous floor and build the stairs. I hope this helped!

After clicking on build next level, if you click on the arrow to view whole property, you will see your whole house but your new floor is just attic space without Windows, go back once and you have a black outline over the lower floor, your new floor needs rooms adding. You need to build a room at least 2 rows 6 squares long above a room 6 squares long, for basic stairs other stairs require different square configurations.

If you cannot put stairs in your house and it just turns red, this means you first need to add your 2nd floor. After adding your second floor, you should check for a space on your bottom floor that has enough space for your stairs. Once you find a big enough space, you have to add a room on the 2nd floor with enough space for your stairs upstairs. Basically, what you need is enough space on bottom and top floors, a 2nd floor and a room.
