Can a preteen become a teen or an adult in sims freeplay?

Question for The Sims FreePlay
Can a preteen become a teen or an adult in sims freeplay? I love the game, I have two preteens, but there is no "have birthday" button. And I can't get any on to be more then "best friends" why can't I? Is it a glitch? Will they add it so you can grow into a teen and over soon?

It is not a glitch. Pre-teens are the oldest baby Sims can Age to. And they cannot advance beyond friendship relations.

You bake a cake and then tap on your preteen. It then gives you the option to turn your preteen into a teen.

When you are best friends with someone, you have a tight relationship because that's the best that friends can be. It's not a glitch, it's meant to be like that because you can't have any better non-romantic relationship with someone than best friend.

[b]I'm. To sure but I've heard if you put them in School as their grades get better they will grow up I think. Eventually they should end up as adults and they can be more than friends. Hope it helps.

I believe you have to have your preteen finish School for them to become adults.Thats probably what happens at A+ grades.Maybe you see that after A+ grades are to have them graduate, but I'll keep putting them in school and try to answer this with facts later.Thanks for listening!

My preteen has a grade of A++ and still no Adult. So I'm assuming it's not possible for them to become teens or even adults
