Question for The Sims FreePlay

I've updated and completed all the tasks for the new beach houses. I am trying to complete my next task, which is to build a new house in the new development, but every time I try I get a message saying I need to finish building the house I'm currently building. Problem is, I'm not building another house! Is this a bug?

I am having the very same problem. It won't let me build on the new beach lots or the old lots. I keep getting the message that I have to finish building my existing house but I am not building a house I am on level 25. It has been suggested that you have to get to level 30 to start building again but that doesn't make sense. I should at least get to build on the old existing lots????

I am having the same problem! Before the update I could also pay LP to build Houses and add Children before my level "allowed" that many Sims. Currently level 32 and can't build on the new or old lots. It has to be a bug.

I had the same problem and I think it was/is a bug. It wouldn't let me build on any new or old lots. It did let me build the places of employment. I built the Stadium and once the stadium was built then I could build on the lots again. I think it needed to be reset and by building the stadium the whole thing reset and now the lots are available to me again. Nothing else changed like I didn't move up a level. It appears to be a bug and this worked for me.

Same happened to me. I closed my device, loggged back in and I can now build again.
