How many people can life in the family house?? Thinkin a bout a maid. Let me know soon. Im stuck and I dint want to waste my money. :/ thanks a lot!

Actually The amount of people who can live in one house is Eight!!! Tried myself, I adopted Loads of babies and then eventually It said and I . "You already have to much Sims in your household. But...then I was pregnant for the third time and whoopydoo.....I had another baby in my household and It said I had too much!!!
