I'm trying to have two sims marry each other but How do I get the ring for marriage?

You have to get two Sims to partner Status, then you get a goal to have them to get engage. The game apply enough Simoleons for the ring. Then a Sims have to ask them to move in once that happens your Sims will get married. Then there's another goal to purchase a crib, again the game will apply enough simoleons for the baby. Each step is a goal. Sims to partner, romance until Sims get engage, ask Sims to move in, get married, purchase crib, then get baby. Hope I explained it right.
