Nolan will meet you outside the Gym in Canalave City and tell you to join
him at the library. Rest your Pokemon at the Pokemon Center, save and
proceed to the third floor of the library. Prof. Rowan and his assistant
will be there too. When you regain control after the explosion, go for the
exit. Outside, fly to Pastoria City and continue on foot to Lake Valor.
Lake Valor, Lake Verity, & Mt. Coronet

At Lake Valor, you'll find the lake dried up with lots of Magikarps
flopping about. Defeat all the Grunts that dare oppose you.
Proceed into Valor Cavern and talk to Commander Saturn to battle him.

| Not at all tough. Just use Dark-type moves against the |
| Golbat. The Toxicroak is weak against Ground attacks. |
| Torterra's Earthquake can knock it out in one hit. |
------------------------------------------------------------
Your next stop is Lake Verity, which is near Twinleaf Town. You might want
to rest at your house first before heading to the lake. Professor Rown and
his assistant are here. Battle your way through several Grunts. Surf across
the lake to the west to get the TM38 FIRE BLAST.
Once you get to where Lucas is, speak to Commander Mars and battle her.

| Not at all tough either. You've beaten her before, so you |
| can do it again. She has no unique Pokemon with her so you |
| should be pretty familiar with what she has. |

Off to Mt. Coronet now. I'm covering the area from the eastern entrance. So
Fly to Celestic Town and proceed to Route 211. Enter Mt. Coronet from there.
Go down for an ESCAPE ROPE. Turn back a bit and head west. Smash the rocks
to find a RARE CANDY at the end. Backtrack to the entrance and go up. Use
the Strength ability to push the boulder out of the way. Continue northwest
down to the lower level. Don't forget to check the top-left sector of this
floor to find the TM69.
At the Basement, grab the STARDUST and use DEFOG to clear up the area. Next,
head north and down the second set of steps. Push the boulder to open up a
path leading to a SOFT SAND. Surf on the water and check the northeast
corner for a MAX ELIXIR. Turn back west, then climb the stairs to your
right. Push the boulder out of the way for a REVIVE.
Go north along the left side path and up the steps at the end to the next
area. There, just follow the path out to Route 216.
Route 216 & Route 217

At Route 216, go up the steps, ignore the bridge for now and head all the
way to the end to dig a PP UP from the snow, then cross the bridge and go
left for a FULL HEAL. Battle other trainers while heading west along
the bottom path. Grab a REVIVE here too. There's a cabin that you can rest in
further west of the area. Once you get there, proceed upwards to Route 217.
The weather in this area makes things a bit harder to see. Just keep heading
north, while battling other trainers. There is an IRON and TM07 HAIL not too
far north from where Madison is. Go inside the house along the right side of
the path. Talk to the lady there to get the SPELL TAG. Continue onwards
along the left side this time. Grab the HM08 ROCK CLIMB outside the house,
then go in and talk to the man to get the ICICLE PLATE. Continue further up
until you reach Acuity Lakefront.
You won't be able to access the lake yet. But do check the northeast corner
of the area to find an ULTRA BALL. Make your way east to Snowpoint City.
Snowpoint City
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Items: Ultra Ball, Rare Candy, Everstone.
Head south first to find an ULTRA BALL then check out the house at the
northwest part of town. There is a girl there who wants to trade her
Haunter for a Medicham. There's a RARE CANDY buried in the snow, at the area
surrounded by trees to the right of the gym. Use your Dowsing Machine to
find it. Go inside the gym afterwards.
The puzzle for this gym is difficult to explain. Basically, you have to use
the momentum you gained from sliding on the ice, to smash the snow balls
blocking your path to the gym leader.
------------ ----------------------------- ----------
| Leader | Pokemon | Rewards |

| | Sneasel (Lv. 40) | -- |
| Candice | Piloswine (Lv. 40) | -- |
| | Abomasnow (Lv. 42) | -- |
| | Froslass (Lv. 44) | $5280 |
------------ ----------------------------- ----------
| Use Fire or Fighting-type Pokemon against the ones |
| she has. Avoid using Grass-type Pokemon as much as |
| possible, since they are weak against ice. Equip |
| the Fist Plate on your Fighting Pokemon to boost |
| the damage of their fighting-type attacks. |
-----------------------------------------------------
She'll give you the ICICLE BADGE and TM72 AVALANCHE afterwards. Rest your
Pokemon at the Pokemon Center and proceed to Lake Acuity.
After the dialogue with Nolan, surf northeast across the lake and grab the
TM14 BLIZZARD.
