Pokemon Ruby Hints for Gameboy Advance
Go to the Pokemon contest hall in Slateport and talk to the little girl and she will give you a pokeblock case.
If The White Screen Apperas With LINES all over That Means it's A rare Pokemon
For the mystery event you need to go to Petalburg city the go to he the center the talk to the man beside on the PC then talk to him and type up "MYSTERY EVENT IS EXCITING" (you need 5 badge to do this) then save the game and restart and you'll see MYSTERY EVENTS
1: Trick house, first challenge
2: Route 110, north west of the trick house in the sea
3: Petalburg city, bottom left corner, surf over the lake into the smaller opening (without the pokeball in) and click on the ground
4: Route 108, on one of the rocks along the south wall, you will have to dismount your surfing Pokemon and walk on shallow bits to click on the rock (right beside a red head swimmer chick)
5: Route 120, after exiting Fortree city, and before entering the very long grass, there is a path to the south of the parasol lady trainer, which requires cut to enter, go to the end of the pathway and click on the last bit of ground
6: Mt. Pyre, at the top where you fight several team aquas... There are 4 routes which deter from the main path... 2 passages that go right and 2 that go left, the rare candy is in the upper right path, click on the section of long grass at the very end opposite the graves
7: Route 120, before turning right and entering route 121, there is a lake on an elevated area of land, the rare candy is on the ground after crossing the lake
8: Granite cave (route 106) on the 2nd floor use the mach bike to ride up the mud slope, search the area with cracked floors and ladders for the rare candy
9: West of Fortree city, scale the water fall (after beating 8th gym) the rare candy is in a pokeball only reachable with the acro bike
10: West of Fallabor town, scale the first waterfall, the rare candy is to the left.
11: Right below mt. Pyre there is a trail, (route 123)! Right when you get to this trail from mt. Pyre there is a cut tree to your right cut it and to the bottom of the 3 small trails! Click on the ground at the end!
.... And I think there MIGHT be one in victory road, leading to the elite four, but I'm not sure... Good luck!
Train your swampert to lvl. 66. Teach it:
Blizzard -for grass and flying types
Hydro Pump- for banette, steel and ground types.
Earthquake- any Pokemon that touches the ground and you don't know what types it is.
Any move of your choice four last move.
( for hydro pump you must lvl up a mudkip to lvl 42 WITH OUT envolving it.)
Groudon has superb Attack and Defense. He has solid Sp. Attack and HP and ok Speed and Sp. Defense.
My recommended moveset:
Earthquake
Solarbeam
Eruption
Dragon Claw
1. Lower the Legendary Pokemon's HP "into the red".
2. Use a move that will make the Legendary Pokemon Fall Asleep.
3. Throw Ultra Balls at the Legendary Pokemon.
4. If the Legendary Pokemon wakes up, make it fall back asleep and continue to through Ultra Balls.
Go to FORTREE and ask the scientist, then go to DEWFORD TOWN,then surf to the route 105 when it's raining use dive in the deep water, then you will see kyogre.
It is possible to skip victory road once you get to ever grande city! First, you must have a Pokemon that knows fly. Second, you have to have been to Ever Grande City atleast once. Next, use fly, and you'll see Ever Grande City is highlighted, you can just go up one space, and instead of EVER GRANDE CITY - Pokemon CENTER it will say EVER GRANDE CITY - Pokemon LEAGUE. Then, you select the Pokemon League, and there! You have skipped victory road, and all of it's annoying puzzles and trainers!
These are not real codes, but a lot of stuff that will help new gamers and gamers who are stuck up in some stuff.
1. HOW TO GET YOUR DESIRABLE Pokemon STARTER. (especially for those who are playing for the first time)
Now first you need to know what this means. It means you can get any Pokemon from the heonn, jhoto or kanto region excluding squirtle, charmender or bulbusaur as your starter pokemon.
First start a new game. Or if you are playing 4 the first time, awsome.........
Complete stuff like name, setting clock, etc.
Then go to brendan/may's house and do that thing...talking to him/her.Then go to the place where birch is running away from pocheyena. Dont open the bag. Use a walk through walls gameshark code for ruby. I did not get it here thats why I searched for it a lot. Finally I got it on one of the link of wikipedia. I used that and it worked. Then go to oldale town mart. Type master ball cheat and but masterballs. Then go back near the grassy patch but don't invade birch. You efforts will fail. Enter any Pokemon cheat. Eg. The cheat which enables your desirable Pokemon to come in the grass. Then run in the grass and catch that Pokemon!
Then play the rest of the game normally....:D Hope I helped you.
2. MIRAGE ISLAND
Truly even I have not found it out. But here is what you can initially do. Go to pacifidlog town and check each house. In one house (mostly on the up right hand) will be an old man looking through the window on the right wall. Talk to him and he will first say, "I cannot see the mirage island today"....Do this every day you play the game. And one day he will be saying that he can see the mirage island. My friend got it but not me. I myself am playing for 3 years the same game but not got it. I try it everyday. And be sure to check what he says minutely. If you miss it once,no one knows when it may come!
3.WHERE IS KYOGRE
Many new gamers think that once they defeat kyogre in the seaflooor cavern, they can't catch it. But you always have a second chance. Kyogre's real abode is the cave of origin. After you finish doing it with the seafloor cavern, go to sootopolis and the cave of origin is open for you. You must have master ball preserved for easy catcheing. Or you can lower it's hp and catch it with ultra ball. But beware, once it faints, you miss the chance.
Tips- 1) If you don't want to waste masterball on kyogre and preserve it for rayquaza, then buy lots of ultraballs. Then lower kyogre's hp in the seafloor cavern and then try to catch with ultra b. Its ok if it faints this time.
2) Save before you invade kyogre in the cave of origin.
3)Do not faint kyogre in the cave of origin even by mistake if you have not saved the game before any of the above stuff.
4) In case you are in the condition matching tip 3, do not bother to lower kyogre's hp, catch him with master b,or he's gone forever. Plus, you can always give away all you're money for the super rayquaza.
4.WHERE IS RAYQUAZA
In the sky pillar. You get cool Pokemon like sablye, claydol, banette, etc in here and that too level 45+! But one problem is that the floors of sky pillar are cracked so if you stop you fall down and you have to restart from a specific area. And you can't go over cracks with running shoes or simply walking. Its impossible. Use bike. Theres a special technique to do this. Practice and you will succeed.
Rayquaza has these attacks-
Twister - Basic
Scary Face - lvl 5
AncientPower - lvl 15
Dragon Claw - lvl 20
Dragon Dance - lvl 30
Crunch - lvl 35
Fly - lvl 45
Rest - lvl 50
ExtremeSpeed - lvl 60
Outrage - lvl 65
Hyper Beam - lvl 75
My favorite rayquaza moves are fly, extremespeed, outrage and hyperbeam.
You get rayquaza at lvl 70 so don't ask how I know when he learns these moves.
*-There is some secret technique by which when you reach the second or third last floor of the sky pillar, you can use dig and reach directly to the hall where rayquaza is, but -
1. U need a Pokemon who knows dig
2. This technique needs a confirmation, I don't exactly know on which of the two floors to use thats why, if you go wrong, you end up restarting so don't do it, even after eaching the second last floor, I used dig and had to do it all over. Its better you avoid risking the dig thing.
5.FOR NEW GAMERS_ EASY WAY TO DEFEAT GYMS_
ROCK-Use water Pokemon mudkip or treecko.
FIGHT-Catch tailow and train till lvl 20-21 and use
Marshtomp's mud shot and tailow's peck/wing attack.
ELECTRIC-Very easy, use water, ground(super effective),fire but not grass.
FIRE-Obviously water type swampert or marshtomp(whatever you have) is excellent. Grass type not ideal. You can use ground type or rock type too. Geodude is also ok.
NORMAL-(Your Dad) Medium difficulty. BEST TO USE YOUR SWAMPERT OR WHICHEVER STARTER AND YOUR NEXT BEST TRAINED POKEMON. Need to use loads of potions.
BIRD-Use electric type.(SUPER EFFECTIVE) You can get magnemite and voltorb in new mauvile. Or even water type is normal effective.don't use fight type Pokemon.
MOSDEEP GYM- THEY ARE TWIN GYM LEADERS AND HAVE ROCK/PSYCIC TYPE POKEMON. Use super effective water type Pokemon or bug type. Water is against rock and bug against psycic.
WATER GYM- Time to use you're magnemite or pikachu again. Super effective. You can use any grass type too. You can catch a shroomish and train it.
6.WHERE ARE ALL THE GYMS(FOR NEW GAMERS)
ROCK-RUSTBURO CITY
FIGHT_DEWFORD TOWN
ELECTRIC_MAUVILE CITY
FIRE_LAVARIDGE TOWN
NORMAL_PETALBURG CITY
BIRD_FORTREE CITY
GROUND/PSYCIC-MOSSDEEP CITY
WATER_SOOTOPOLIS CITY
SO>>>>>>>>>>>>THATS ALL FOR NOW> GIVE YOU MORE STUFF LATER ON>>
HOPE I HELPED>>>>:D
Hi Guys,
Do you have trouble beating the Elite 4?Don't worry.I beat the Elite 4 with one Pokemon. It is BLAZIKEN who help me to beat the Elite 4.My Blaziken's moves:Blaze kick,Sky uppercut,Cut,Earthquake. For Drake, the 4th member of Elite 4,I needed to use the full restores cause of the Salamance and the Altaria.
I think this may not work for the Blaziken lvl 50 or 60.
But try this.I beat the Elite 4 with my Blaziken lvl.85.
Hope this helps! :D
(You need two gameboys and two games. Restart the game, get a starter, Play up to where you get pokeballs, catch a Pokemon, and trade you starter with the other game. Repeat this until you have all the starters and trade them back to the other game. (Note: Keep track of which starter was last for your rival.)
Hope it helps, Fellow Pokemon player
Since Rock Smash isn't one of the most popular HMs most people will probably miss it's location. Its location is when you enter Mauville City and head to the house in the bottom right and talk to a man who loves to talk to Skilled Trainers. To use Rock Smash outside of battle you need to defeat Wattson in the gym.
In the Pokemon center in Mauville there is people who show up at different times and at those different times you can end up just interacting with them.
