Beating Surge, Koga, Blaine, and Giovonni with ease

01
Verified by: unverified
Bogus Report:

Hey, the old Pokemon games are old, but there's always new stuff to be learned about them. For instance, in R/B/Y versions, there is one Pokemon that you can catch that will make defeating the Third, fifth, seventh and eighth simple and easy. His/Her name is Dugtrio; a little trio of moles [digletts] that can be caught in the tunnel near Cermillion City. Dugtrio is pretty much the ultimate straight ground type in the game. He is found at level 29-30 and knows the move Dig when yu catch him. This move is going to be one of your favorites for defeating the gym leaders I mentioned earlier.
Surge may be tough with his level 24 Riachu, but fear not, nowwith your new partner in crime Dugtrio, you can beat him easily, and his cute little electic attacks won't affect you. Now it's tiem for the fun part:
Destroy him!
Now the big bad army veteran is in shambles, and you're in the winner's circle.
Now just train Dugtrio like you would with any other pokemon. (my advice: teach him Cut)
It's much the same with all the other Gym Leaders. Except you might wanna get a fire type with Dig for backup. (You get TM28 [dig] from the rocket dude in Cerulean)

Happy Gaming!

A easy way of catching pokemon!!!!!!!!!

Unrated
Verified by: unverified
Bogus Report:

This worked for me so it should work for you. First you find a Pokemon you want to catch. Then you can lower it's hp to red if you want to but I didn't. After you lower it's hp throw any kind of pokeball out. Right before the Pokemon goes in the ball hold down the down button and the B button at the same time. Then you have a new caught pokemon. P.S. It sometimes doesn't work!!!!!!!

Easy victories int the beginning

Bogus Report:

Walk around Viridian Forest for a while. You can find a pidgeoto (sorry for my bad spelling) Lv. 8-9! [Make sure you have an alternitive Pokemon if Pikachu is too strong for it! And bring lots of Poke balls!]If you catch it you have a pretty strong Pokemon that can beat most of the wild pokemon! Also after you get Pidgeotto, [or before] catch a caterpie, and train it into a metopod, then a butterfree. This makes it easy to beat brock. Or to beat him catch a Mankey to the West of Viridian city and train it until it knows Low Kick.

Hopefully I helped some of you out there!
Thanks for reading!

Beating Brock

Bogus Report:

Since you start out with Pikachu, his electric-type moves will do absolutely nothing to Brock's pokemon. There are two simple solutions to this problem: one, catch a different Pokemon, and use that instead, for Pikachu doesn't have a lot of normal-type moves. Or, you can train Pikachu until it learns Swift. Swift is still pretty weak, but by the time you get it, Pikachu will be at a high level.

legendary catch rate

Bogus Report:

Ok, you know how hard it is to catch legendary Pokemon as the pokeball nearly always misses. The trick is to catch a Pokemon like haunter or hypno that can learn hypnosis. Train it up to level 45 for the three legendary birds (articuno, moltres and zapdos) and level 65 for mewtwo but KEEP HYPNOSIS. Then when you come across the legendarys use hypnosis and the pokeball will always catch the legendary.

Good Luck in catching the legendarys

Strongest Pokemon Possible

Unrated
Verified by: Kenny 2x4
Bogus Report:

If you want the strongest Pokemon of any type possible, you must follow there are a few things you need to know.

1. Pokemon grow stronger with a trainer than in the wild. If you catch a wild level 30 Pokemon and compare it to a lv 30 Pokemon of the same kind who has been trained from a lower level, you will see that the trained pokemon's stats are higher. Try to catch the Pokemon at the lowest level possible and train it yourself. It takes longer but is worth it if you want to raise a truly powerful pokemon.
2. Don't let anybody babysit your pokemon! Pokemon also gain less stats per level in the care of a babysitter. Keep them with you, and they'll grow the best.
3. Evolve your Pokemon as soon as possible! Higher stages of Pokemon gain more stat points every time they level, although they don't learn moves quite as quickly as their lower stages do. Almost every Pokemon learns all their possible moves eventually, so if you are looking to raise a high level Pokemon, evolve them quickly for max stats.

Happy training everyone!

Then he turns round and walks towards you then you restart

Get Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle.

06
Verified by: unverified
Bogus Report:

Unfortunately, in Pokemon Blue and Red, getting all three of the Main Starter Pokemon (Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle) takes about half or all of the game to do. Pokemon Yellow isn't the same. In fact you could have all three by the time you have completed as little as 3 or 4 Cities!

It starts with Charmander. Get to Cerulean City. This is the Blue City with Misty as the Gym Leader. First defeat Misty. You're Pokemon must be around Level 20 or higher if this Gym is a breeze. Then go North where there's two passage ways. If you go up the Right one you notice there's a wall blocking which means you must go up the Left one.

Beat all of the Nugget Guys, including the final guy at the top. Once again, make sure your Pokemon are Level 20 or higher for this challenge to be a breeze.

Now after defeating all of these go straight up and left. There should be a guy standing in a Box with a PokeBall nearby him. It's not a Pokeball, but that isnt the concern. Talk to this guy, and he will give you his Charmander. Next is Bulbasaur. Go right from the Guy who gave you Charmander. Go through the tiny Forest-like enviornment, and go through the Trainers. Then you get to a big House. This is Bill's House. Once entered you'll find a Pokemon standing there. Talk to it, it's actually Bill. He tells you he's messed up an experiment. He tells you to go and switch the Switcher thing or something. As he enters the Chamber, go to the Computer and Press A to do the Job. He thanks you and gives you a Ticket to the S.S. Anne Cruise Ship involving Trainers. Ignore this and head back into the City. Now what's this? The House just to the Right of the Passage Ways heading North has some Police Woman at the front of it, and she's subsided from the Door allowing you in. Go in and straight out the hole in the back of the House. Defeat the Team Rocket Person and they'll give you Dig. Give Dig to one of your Pokemon.

Now go back to the Pokemon Centre. There's a House just to the Left of it. Enter and there's a Woman surrounded by lots of Pokemon. Talk to her and she will give you her Bulbasaur. And there you have it. A Side Note: My Pokemon were Level 20s and Over naturally from my heavy Training Prior to entering Cerulean City, so I'm not sure if your Pokemon HAVE to be Level 20 or Over to recieve the Pokemon, but I'd advise you to have them over Level 20 to beat Opponents as well as recieve the Pokemon.

Next is Squirtle. This will be less specific.

Go back to Cerulean City. Go into the House Team Rocket wrecked and go out the back of it.

Go around the House and head straight down. Not back in by the Gym, but further downards. Head all the way down the Path wih two lines on either Edge until you find a small building. Enter it and go through the Underpath.

Once you've got out of the Underpass and out of the next Little Building, there is a big patch of Grass. Head left and follow the Grass-less Road. Take on the Challengers. After defeating the Trainers and continuing to follow the Path until you get into a City where the Colour goes Orange. I don't know the name of it.

Get on the S.S. Anne (To the Right of the Mart) and get the HM Cut on the Ship. This is by Getting to the Captain who is being Sick in his Bin. You pat his back and he gives you Cut.

Defeat the Gym Leader Lt. Surge, and then go to Officer Jenny who is to theLeft of the Mart and she will give you Squirtle.

And there you have it!

Missingno in Yellow

Unrated
Verified by: unverified
Bogus Report:

It's almost like the Mew cheat but you don't battle the youngster with the slowpoke. So go to the underground path between Celadon and Levender town and you will come out at the other end. DONT MOVE. You should save your game here just incase you mess up. Make sure you have a Pokemon that knows FLY.

Now take one step down and imediantly press START. If you did this right, the Gambler won't see you. Now fly to Lavender, and the Gambler will see you but won't go after you. When you get to Lavender you won't be able to use the start, a or b buttons because the game THINKS that you're battling the Gambler.

Go into the Pokemon Tower and onto the third floor. Let the channeler in the middle of the room see you and battle her. When you win, you can use the start a and b buttons now. If you have escape rope I suggest you use it because if you run into wild Pokemon there is a little chance that you could run into something else than Missingno.

Exit the Pokemon Tower and walk towards the path going west of Lavender town and the start menu will popup. Press b and you will enter a battle with Missingno!

How to beat Brock easily

09
Verified by: Kenny 2x4
Bogus Report:

Actually, the easiest way to beat Brock without training your Pokemon so much, is to catch a Mankey. I caught mine in the block of grass just south of Pewter City. When you catch it, it should know Scratch.

However, if you get lucky, you might find one that knows Low Kick. I caught mine at Level 6, and I trained it to Level 10 in the grass and the trainer before Brock.

Since fighting is Super-Effective against rock, it will be easy. You can also catch a Nidoran‰ (Nidoran‰ is the purple one) and then train it to learn Double Kick. That will, however, take a lot of training, and it may have to evolve into a Nidorino first.

Keep in mind that I think Mankey is very rare in that spot south of Pewter City (took me about 20 tries) so catch it the first chance you get. Also, if you are confused, this sign means male (‰) and this means female (Š).

Starter Pokemon

Bogus Report:

To get the starter Pokemon, you must complete these tasks and talk to the correct person.

Bulbasaur: Beat Misty and get the CascadeBadge. Then, go to the house next to the Pokemon Center. Go inside and the girl will give you Bulbasaur if you promise to take good care of it.

Squirtle: Get HM01 from the captain on the S.S. Anne. Then, get off board. Teach it to one of your Pokemon, Cut down the tree in the way, and go in the gym. Find the two swicthes and deafeat LT. Surge. Go to Officer Jenny in the middle of Vermilion City and talk to her. She will give you Squirtle if you have defeated LT. Surge and if you will take
Good care of it.

Charmander: Beat the Nugget Bridge and Cerulean Gym. Talk to the boy on the hill. He will give you Charmander if you will love and care for it.

And that's how you get the starter Pokemon without trading.

Chansey glitch

Unrated
Verified by: unverified
Bogus Report:

This is a glitch to catch chansey without having to use up all of your money in the safari zone!

First, go to the city with misty as the gym leader. Might want to saught out your team and items now as you wont be able to later. I recomend at least 1 Pokemon at level 5-9 (chansey appears at level 7), and with some powder moves (stun spore, sleep powder, ect.). It would also help if your squirtle has envolved into wortortle. YOU NEED A POKEMON WITH FLY!

Now the glitch begines...

When you have finished with your team, go to the top of nugget bridge. Take 5 steps left so you can't be seen by the trainer there. Now would be a good place to save incase you muck up. Now press down followed almost immediatly by start. If done correctly, the menu should pop up before the guy sees you. If you do it wrong, I hope you saved where I said!(You can start again from there, it's a hell of a lot easier!). Now select your flying Pokemon and fly away TO LAVENDER TOWN. This is important that you fly there. The guy will see you but you will fly away.

When you get to lavender town, go out to the left. Win against the first MALE (guy) trainer you meet. After, fly back to the town with misty as the gym leader. Go up towards nugget bridge and when you get up a certain distance, the menu will open itself. When you close it, the game will start a battle with a level 7 chansey.

Peace:)

This is a much easier way to beat brock and get Mew at the same time!
First, put yello into your xploder cheat cart. Then when it asks you what cheats you want to activat, select the one that says something like 'catch mew'. Now go up to brock with the cheat on and when you talk to him he will act normal until the battle starts. Instead of being brock, it will be a wild mew. If you catch it or kill it, the battle will be over, and you will get the boulder badge!

2. Enter gym.
3. Go to the left, step on bottom tile.
4. When you stop, step on the left tile to go up.
5. When you stop, go all the way up till you hit the wall, walk to the right till you hit the wall, step on the tile to go down.
6. When you stop, go back up a few paces and then go through the opening to the left.
7. Walk up till the trainer sees you.
8. Beat him.
9. Go down, then to the right.
10. Step on the tile to go left.
11. When you stop, go left then walk out of the gym.
12. Fly back to Lavender, go to the left into route 8.
13. The start menu pops up, hit B.
It should be Missingo....like level 7. The first time I did it I beat it, my game was messed
Up till I turned it off. I don't know what will happen if you catch it, I'm not going to risk it.

PLEASE READ although not a cheat

Bogus Report:

Hey I have some info on the Mew and MissingNo cheats. At first I thought that those cheats sounded a little odd so I decided to look it up.

(I have my ways of getting around with nintendo employees) So yes there was and most likely still is a missingno cheat in the Pokemon yellow games but that is only because some people stioll have the first come first serve edition of the game.

The missingno stands for Missing Number which is Pokemon 151 one A.K.A Mew, Mewtwo being Pokemon 150. So yes those cheats are real but only if you have the unedited version of the game. I also know that some of the games are kind of different color Yellows being a little light or darker than another.

This isn't really a cheat but it should help with all the confusion. Thanks for reading this. I know you were looking for cheats. n_n'

Easy Levels

Bogus Report:

This isn't the best way to get XP, but it's the easiest.

To do this you need money. Go to the Daycare and put in the Pokemon you want to train. Then just leave your game on as long as you like or you can go train another Pokemon.

If your battery's running low just save and change the batteries or if you have an SP or Micro (I'm no sure if Micro plays GameBoy Games) just put it on the charger while you do this.

Just don't leave it on too long or you'll run out of money or have it get past the hight level you can train your Pokemon to. (Like how Misty'd badge can let you train your Pokemon to evel 30.)

I know this really isn't that help full, but it comes in handy if you need to train a Pokemon to fight a boss.

Glitch that I found myself

Ok, I haven't played this game in a while, but I remember this cool glitch. In Saffron City, when a rocket is standing in front of the big 15 story building(can't remember name), go to the Pokemon center and walk to the left, up, and right to the building.

The rocket should be moved a little down and to the right. Quickly move to the front of the door and in a second or two, the rocket will appear back at the door and both of you will be in the same spot.

This won't work if your past this spot because the rocket is not at the door anymore you will have to make a new game if you want to do it.

Missingno is in Yellow

Bogus Report:

Missingno is in Yellow but you have to do the trick correctly. It sometimes when you encounter Missingno it freezes, goes black for 2 minutes and comes back on and stays on or goes black again, says Missingno learned continously, or if your lucky you actually get to battle Missingno! I've done this and Missingno does minor damage but not permanant and it doesn't delete your file like in Red and Blue. Missingno is catchable and really weak so put it to sleep and catch it it's worth it.

Bogus Report:

Well it's easy, all you got to do is when you throw the pokeball, great ball, ect, press up when you it's throw and then it will catch it automatically without popping out this hint/cheat/hack works 80% of the time, if you are doing it right and 50% of the time if you aren't doing it that well.
Hope I hepled, Alex

Easy Dragonair and Gyarados

Bogus Report:

Hello, it is me again. Well, this is a very easy trick to do. You know that in the Safari Zone there are strange Dratinis in certain pools. Well, in the water pool just up of the entrance of the Safari, you fish with the best rod possible and maybe you will get a rare Dragonair.

This is extremely frustrating as it runs away very easily so to catch him for good throw him a single rock and as many Safari Balls as needed (do not throw bait, as it becomes impossible to catch).

When you catch it, try to take it up to a level from 50 up, and it will evolve into the most rare of all dragon pokémon: Dragonite.

That was for Dragonair, now for Gyarados. In the same Fuchsia City where you caught the Dragonair, got to the house of the Guru that gives you the good rod and go out of his house through the North.

There should be a pool there. You ill have to get the most powerful rod in the far east of Fuchsia City, but it is worth it.

Now, fish with the Special Rod in that pool at the back of the Fishing Guru's house and you will only catch Magikarp and I think some Goldeen and Poliwags (I am not sure if those are with the Good Rod or with the best one).

It is very boring beacuse only Magikarp pop up, but you may be lucky, and find a Level 15 Gyarados. It is possible beacuse I have done it like that alwaysand it always works. Try it!

Good luck!!!

Catching the three powerfull birds in an easy way

Bogus Report:

To make this happen, you have to confront these pokémon with one of these type of pokémon: one that can put the birds to sleep or one that can freeze them.

I recommend to have both due to the fact that they are really difficult to freeze so then use sleep, but if you freeze them, that is even better, beacuse it will not attack you anymore.

But, DO NOT USE FIRE IF THE BIRD IS FREEZED, beacuse the ice would melt and the bird would go free. This also works with other tough-to-get pokémon like Mewtwo, but for that one I highly recommend that you use the Master Ball.

Good luck!!!

Extremely easy way to defeat Brock, even easier than with Butter

Bogus Report:

O.K., this cheat is extremely easier than the one in which it is said that a Butterfree had to be catched or gained by evolving a metapod into it to beat Brock. Then train it to about level 15 and with confusion and other spores beat that Gym Leader.

Well people, I have got a better way of passing over this leader: First, go to the west of Viridian City, then enter the first patch of grass (the one before fighting with Gary), but the other one more to the west may also work (this is between Viridian City and the Pokémon League entrance).

Now, run, dash, whatever, inside that grassy area until you find a Mankey (it can be at level 3, which is really common, or a the rare level 5). Catch it and train it up to level 9. Yes people, only until nine (actually you can upgrade it more if you want to), and this is because at that level, this pokémon learns an all new attack: Low Kick.

It is super effective against rock type pokémon and I do not know if against others. Now go to Pewer City Gym, confront Brock, and show him this pokémon and it's powerful attack and believe me that he will be giving you the badge faster than by using the Butterfree.

I greatly recommend that the Mankey is trained at the Viridian Forest, as it has more challenging pokémon, but DO NOT FIGHT against Pidgeys, because at first, they are really difficult to kill with Mankey. Fight against Catterpies if you can. Good luck!!!

Pikachu Loves You When You Get It

Bogus Report:

If you want your Pikachu to love you when you first get it then here is the way. When you start your game, go to the PC in your room. Withdraw the 'Potion'.

Now go out of your house and over to the long grass on the way out of Pallet Town. Professor Oak will come out and say don't go out!

He will take you to his lab and give you Pikachu! Now before you battle your rival go into your Item or Bag.

Grab out the Potion and keep trying to give it to your Pikachu, it will say it has no effect. Do it about 5 times then talk to Pikachu. It will love you or be happy!
