Question for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

I am in the very beginning of the game. I just got the fishing rod and tried fishing, but I lost my bait. I have tried fishing again, but have not caught a fish yet. How can I get more bait and if so, where? Once I get more bait, how do I catch a fish? Thanks for your help!

If you got the cradle back for Uli by blowing the flower and using the eagle, she should've given you the Fishing Rod Colin made for you. So go to the dock where the cat is and go fishing! When you get the bobber in the water near a fish, wait for it to get pulled down to the bottom of the screen, then hold the B button, lift the remote above your head and hold it there until you get the fish. Now hit B again to drop the fish and follow the cat to Sera's Sundries where you'll get a free Bottle of Milk and the Slingshot if you have 30 Rupees.

You don't need any bait to catch a fish. When your line goes down really fast, pull back and just hold it there. You will catch the fish.
