Help me please. I've called down the big birdy and am flying through the tunnel (where I believe there are three or four bugs) - my question is how the flippin heck do I get them? I've tried "dashing" whilst Z Targeting but it's simply not working... I don't get any lock when I'm Z targeting so am I too far away? Help me please?!?

It should work. The chances are, you're right about being too far away from them when you dash. Try to get as close to them as possible. If you do, then you probably won't even need to Z target (not that it's worth taking that risk, because if you miss you have to go through the entire course again).
