Village Target Practice
Right... Well - I've got the first two targets (no problem cos they are really easy) but how in darnation do I hit the final stick (up by Talo's lookout) and get my heart piece? I've tried using the hawkeye and only got a miserly 10 rupees for my trouble! I've also tried hitting slightly to the left of the more obvious post but to no avail. Help me please - it's driving me nuts (and my dog thinks I've gone mad cos I keep shouting at the screen)! Many thanks.

If you almost hit the pole, a close-up of the shot will be shown. Use this to aim slightly left/right from your previous shooting position.
Or try aiming at Talo (he'll duck), then aiming further to his right.
You can also take a few steps forward from Malo before he asks you if you want to quit, which allows you to get a little closer to the target.
Best bet is to have a full quiver and/or wallet before talking to Talo.
If you're REALLY unlucky, wait until you reach Hyrule's Castle Town, as the Quiver and Wallet upgrades are earned there.

Use the Hawkeye and aim above the corner to Talo's left (you right). Then just keep at it until you hit it. It's quite tough, but once you get the hang of it it's no problem.
