I think you are talking about the guy who has been corrupted by treasure and money. When you are in the castle town walk around until you find a little area with a bunch of cats. If you are in wolf form you should be able to look at the ground with your senses and then see a place to dig and crawl into. Jiovani should be on the other side although he will look like a statue. Greendayfreak7 is right. When in Castle Town find the cats. Then turn to wolf, turn on senses and dig. If you want to get to the Castle underground channel then go in, turn to human, then Jovani will ask you to tear a Poe soul out of the Poe in the room. To do this, turn into wolf, then engage your senses. You will see a ghost with a scythe-looking thing. Jump attack it. You will hang on with your claws if you hit it. Keep on pressing the A button and you will fall off eventually. This is ok. You will do this twice. When it is on the ground you will see something on the screen telling you to press A to finish. You must do this quick or else it will get up and you will have to do this again.
