How to Defeat Injustice in West of Dead

In West of Dead you will encounter boss fights at the end of each chapter and defeating them will unlock features in the game that will add variety to your game experience. If you die while tackling the boss you will find yourself respawning back at the bar. Check out our How to Defeat Injustice to find out how you take down the final boss in West of Dead.

Who is Injustice

Injustice is the last boss you will encounter in West of Dead and is the final form of The Preacher. He is a giant sized boss that has four different types of attacks. These are listed below.

• Homing Fireballs
Injustice will shoot 6 successive homing fireballs. All 6 of these fireballs will destroy one cover.

• Summons Blast Areas
Injustice has the ability to summon several (3-5) blast areas near you. They are indicated by red circles near the ground. These will explode 2 seconds after appearing and create a round rockmade obstacle which will disappear after a while.

• Expanding Shockwave of Flame
Injustice is able to release a circlular expanding shockwave of flame which must be dodged. This circular expanding shockwave will be released everytime Injustice is taken to the ground.

• Flying Fireheads
Injustice will launch 5 flying 'Fireheads' at a time which will try to surround and flank you before firing multiple projectiles at you. These Fireheads will remain in the room and continue to be a problem until they are destroyed.

How to Defeat Injustice

The boss battle will begin with Injustice chasing you around the room, he will damage you on contact so you need to avoid him. You will not be able to stun injustice using lanterns and the shield effect is only partially effective against the fireballs as it ends before the burning effect which means you will take some damage.

To damage Injustice you must deal enough damage to his legs/feet. Each foot has its own lifebar which needs to be depleted. When those bars reach 0 Injustice will fall releasing his expanding shockwave flame which you must get out of the way of and try to reduce his main HP bar before he gets back up and continues to stalk you. After having defeated Injustice a first time he claims his immortality.

There will be 3 pillars of green energy in the fight area and from these pillars will derive lines on the ground that will go to a 3 points with a circle in the center. Your objective now is to collect the 3 righteous souls. Once you have all three souls and placed them by the green pillars the lines on the floor and Injustice himself will turn blue and you will now be able to defeat him. Destroying the 3 blue pillars will defeat Injustice and finish the game, it will also grant you the 'The Banisher' Steam Achievement. Don't forget to pick up your 24 Sin points after banishing Injustice.
