Welcome to our Vanguard Zero Beginner's guide, here we'll provide you with some tips on how to start your game and progress with your account. You’ll be going through different chapters in the game’s Story mode and get to learn more regarding the different characters and clans available in the game. You’ll learn How to play Vanguard Zero’s card game and how the mobile version is different from the regular card game.

Here, we'll discuss what you need to know in order to get things going. When you start your game, you'll have to go through the game’s Tutorial mode until you reach the home page of the game.


Complete the Tutorial and start Rolling for your cards

When starting your game account, you’ll have to go through the game’s tutorial mode at the beginning. Just follow the steps on screen until you reach the home screen and gain access to your gift box.

Here you’ll obtain Gacha tickets in order for you to use at the shop. In order to get a good start, you’ll want to aim for cards that have a RRR or RR rarity. For more information, you can check our Vanguard Zero Reroll Guide.

You can also check our Tier List as a guide in order for you to see which cards to aim for.


Increase your Grade

Your Grade will refer to your account’s current level. This will involve you to complete specific quests called Fighter’s Quests. The quests can range from completing the game’s story mode, or challenging other features such as character fights.

It’s important to increase your Grade in order for you to unlock all of the features in the game. At minimum, try to increase your Grade to 12 to gain access to majority of the clans available when creating cards.

Clear your daily missions and complete achievements

You can complete tasks each day in order to get rewards, and you can also complete certain milestones as well. From the home page, you’ll find the “Missions” button on the right side. Here you can get rewards such as Stamina, Gacha Tickets, and more.

Play through the game’s Training Fight

In order for you to progress, you will need to learn the mechanics of the game. From the Home Screen, you can press “Menu” and then choose “Training Fight”. Here you can have Basic and Advanced training that teaches you on how to play the game. As a bonus, you get gems here as first-time rewards.

Familiarize yourself with the changes in Vanguard Zero’s Rules

The mobile version of the game has some differences in terms of gameplay. These are called Vanguard Zero Rules and they are implemented in order to have a faster paced gameplay.

Play through the game’s story mode

Playing through the game’s story mode not only provides you with rewards, but you can also clear first-time missions when going through the chapters. Not only does this help with your progression of the game, but you’ll get to unlock higher difficulties for chapters in case you want to have more challenges.

Challenge Character Fights and start farming your crafting materials

Character fights let you take on different clans and befriend the different characters of the game. The higher the friendship that you have with a character, the more you get in terms of difficulty levels which provide more rewards.

Crafting Materials are based on the clan of the character you fought against, and you can use these materials to craft a card of your choice.


Participate in ranked matches and increase your VP for more rewards

VP points can be obtained and they provide you with rewards. These can range from coins, gacha tickets, medals, and more. Ranked matches also let you fight against other real players, so you’ll have to test your skills here and try out different decks that will help you win.

Check the Forum section for recommended decks

If you are aiming to get stronger, you can check recommended decks. Go to the Card section of the game and you can check the forum there, you can also look at recommendations so you’ll see which cards you can aim for. This way you will know which crafting materials you can prioritize for your next card.
