V Rising Blood Type Guide
V Rising Blood Type Guide

Different blood types are acquired by feeding on different creatures and enemies in V Rising. The more you feed on a particular blood type, the higher the quality of the blood type, and the more buffs your character will receive. There are six total blood types, take a look at this Blood Types Guide to find out more about them.

How to get Blood Types

In order to obtain blood in V Rising you simply have to lower a living being (that is not a boss in the game) to low health. Once you have managed this you need to press 'Feed', which is the 'F' button on your keyboard. This will begin a feeding animation which once finished will grant you the blood type of that NPC, and also kill them in the process. The blood type you obtain will be of a certain quality, and you can determine what it is by hovering your mouse over an enemy. There are five different tiers of blood quality bonuses and the final one is guaranteed to grant a 30% boost to the previous tiers. Listed below are the five tiers.

Tier 1:

Always active on all non-Frailed blood types.

Tier 2:

30% blood quality or higher.

Tier 3:

60% blood quality or higher.

Tier 4:

90% blood quality or higher.

Tier 5:

100% blood quality.

The Different Blood Types

The only blood type that does not offer any bonuses is Frailed, the default blood when starting a new character, respawning after dying, or when using a heart or rat consumable item. Although the Frailed blood type offers no extra bonuses it does still offer you a blood pool that can be used for healing. This basically means there is no reason to keep the Frailed blood type for long.

The Brute blood type improves overall healing and attack speed. It is gained from feeding on bandits and armored soldiers.

Tier 4:

6% chance per relative health recovered to boost movement speed by 20% and damage of primary attacks by 25%.
