The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Nintendo's latest installment in the ever-popular The Legend of Zelda series. Many consider it to be the greatest out of all of the Zelda games. Maybe it is; it all depends on your opinion. Personally, I find it to be a very satisfying entry indeed.
Okay, these graphics are being scored out of 10 by Gamecube standards. The locations look great. Top notch for Gamecube standards as we know them right now. However, I will warn you, some of the character faces weren't created too well, with many looking as if they were etched out of stone. Still, you'll love the scenery.
The music is brilliant. As usual, it has been composed by Koji Kondo, who composed the scores for the recent Zelda games. What's also great is that there's no voice acting other than people making grunts and noises, as is Zelda tradition. How is this great? Because if there was actual voice with the dialogue, I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo hired American voice actors for the English language version's release. American voices and fantasy games do not mix, sorry.
I'm not a fan of some of the later dungeons. The City in the Sky is probably my least favourite Zelda dungeon.
But as for everything else - excellent. The story is brilliant, the controls are perfectly fine, and the game is immensely satisfying to play through - you'll do so more than once.
The main quest is relatively long - at least 20 hours unless you decide to go through with a speed run, and you'll probably spend much more overall. There are plenty of side quests to keep you occupied if you wish to take a break from the main quest, too.
It's also a great game for replay value. Chances are, you'll want to play through more than once.
9/10 overall. Excellent game. However, the main problem is that some of the dungeons (most notably the City in the Sky) just aren't up to Zelda standards. It doesn't beat Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask, but it's definitely the best contender that either of the Zelda greats has seen since their release.
