You must explore the savannahs and canyons of Elsweyr and defend the home of the Khajiit from an ancient evil as you try to discover the dark purpose behind the Dragons rampage. If you are a new player our The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr walkthrough and guide will help you to surive the latest expansion in the series.
Skill Lines
It is essential when you first start playing that you slot as many different abilities from your different Skill Lines as you can in your Action Bar. When you reach level 15 you will get 5 more slots via weapon swap. Even if you do not use them these abilities and their associated Skill Lines will naturally gain levels as you gain XP. Check out our Skyshard Locations Guide so you can get a Skill Point for every three you find.
Equipping Weapons and Armour
Make sure that while you are exploring you pick up and try every type of weapon and armour you find. It is important that you do this because whenever you equip or use a weapon you will be unlocking its Skill Line for future use and even if you are not using it, it will still earn XP and level up. The Skill Line for armour becomes unlocked when you have equipped three pieces of any one type (Light, Medium, or Heavy).
Upgrade Inventory Space
One of the first things you should do when you have the required amount of gold is to talk to a Banker and a Pack Merchant so you can upgrade your Inventory space so you have a sufficient amount for the loot you earn and the food you find.
Craft Low Level Gear
You can craft armour pieces between the levels of 1-14 from the start of the game and it requires no Skill Points to be spent. Crafting low level gear will also imporve your skills making it a great way to become completely armoured early in the game. All you need to do to get started is to harvest some resources in the wild and find a crafting station.
Unwanted Items
Deconstruct unwanted items at Crafting Stations when your inventory starts to become full. Doing this will not only give you more Inventory space it will also improve your Crafting Skill Lines.
Avoid Attacking Innocent NPCs
If you navigate to your Gameplay settings menu and turn on the 'Prevent Attacking Innocents' option you will ensure that you don't accidentally attack innocent NPCs and rack up a hefty bounty with the local guards.
Make Food
Food provides a buff to your basic attributes or stats. To avoid having to steal food from tavern kitchens it is advised that you head to a city and learn the Provisioning Skill Line so you are able light a fire and make your own food.
The Necromancer
The Necromancer is a new class you can select in the The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr expansion. They are masters of elemental damage that are able to protect themselves with bone and flesh shields while buffing themselves and others with powerful Living Death magic. The Necromancer is able to control the corpses of defeated enemies to do their bidding. Check out our Necromancer Class Guide to learn the different abilities of this new class.
Artifact Weapons
The artifact weapons appear somewhere in Cyrodiil during a campaign four to five times per day. These weapons replace your skill bar with their own and feed on your life essence if you do not keep them satiated. If you neglect to feed them Alliance Points they will slowly kill you. These powerful weapons are worth the risk as they allow its wielder to take on entire groups of enemies.
