Unlockable Characters

1. Luigi

Luigi is Mario’s younger brother who is into high jumps and rescuing princesses too. Among all the characters in the game, Luigi is the one who jumps the highest.

To unlock Luigi, gamers will have to purchase a house called “Luigi’s House”, which will only be available once you have garnered a total of 150 Green Toads and 150 Purple Toads during the Toad Rally.

2. Princess Peach

While Princess Peach loves to party, she also seems to always be the target of Bowser’s attacks. To play as Peach, all you have to do is beat every level in the World Tour mode.

One of Peach’s special move is the Flutter Jump, which will allow her to float/glide over the air while jumping.

3. Yoshi

Throughout all the games in the Mario franchise, Yoshi has always been a character who has been around for Mario and Luigi. In this game, he is once again joining Mario to save Peach. To unlock Yoshi, you will have to buy “Yoshi’s House”, which will be available after getting 30 Red Toads and 30 Yellow Toads during the Toad Rally mode.

4. Toad

Toad will be available after you’ve created a MyNintendo account which you can link to the game. Toad is one of the fastest characters in the game.

5. Toadette

Toadette will be available once you’ve purchased “Toadette’s House” by collecting 200 Red Toads, 200 Blue Toads, and 200 Green Toads during the Toad Rally mode. Just like Toad, Toadette is the fastest characters in the game.
