Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin Beginner Tips and Tricks

Listed below are several Beginner Tips and Tricks which will help you in Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin.

Save Points are Checkpoints

Unlike other mission-based looter games on the market the missions in Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin do not have to be completed in a single run. In this game there are save points which you can interact with to do a variety of things, from assigning Job Points in your Job Tree, editing your Party, to abandoning a mission if you no longer wish to continue with it. One of these options is the option to 'save'. A member of your party will inform you that they have found cubes or suggest the party should rest whenever you approach a save point.

Don't Neglect the Side Quests

In Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin the levels are divided into missions and once you compete one you are able to exit back to the world map. It is recommended that you go through missions the first time by yourself so that you can concentrate on that mission without having to worry about other players. When you clear the mission that area will be highlighted on your map, you can then either return there to replay a mission or tap the right trigger of your controller to reveal a new side mission. These side missions tend to be slightly more difficult than the mission you went through originally and are a great opportunity for you to level up a weaker Job class.

Level Up your Jobs

Job Trees in Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin are crucial as they are your source of power. You will be able to level up Job Trees by fighting, or by using Anima Stones in the Job Trees menu. Each Job Tree has 30 levels you can earn and at the bottom of each Job Tree is a brand-new job to unlock. Some of these new jobs will only become available after you have unlocked several other jobs which means in order to access the more powerful skills in the game you will first need to level up all your available jobs. This can result in having to use your Anima Stones on Jobs you have no intention of playing with.

Get an Affinity Boost

Plain standard gear is not much use and should always be broken down at a smithy. Colored pieces of gear indicates rarity, and it is this gear you need to equip your character. Keep in mind that certain pieces of gear cater towards a specific Job and can give you extra boosts. For example, if your character is a Mage and you have all Mage gear equipped your character will get extra boosts. Make sure you favor affinity above all else when equipping gear to characters.

Always Equip your Best Gear

As you progress in Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin you will constantly receive gear from different sources, and it is through this gear that you equip that your character gets its stats. In the game there are certain levels that will not allow you access if your average gear level is not high enough, so it is important that you always equip the highest level gear you have, especially if it has synergy with your current job.

Switch Jobs

It is important that you switch Jobs on the fly as some of the enemies you encounter will require a specific approach in order to defeat them. Keep in mind that all the Jobs need to be leveled up so make sure you swap often. You will find that the new Jobs you unlock will usually be more powerful than your prior Job in some way and will allow you to carry over certain special attacks.

Hunt Cactuars

Cactuars in Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin are a bonus enemy that appear randomly in each level. Cactuars are worthwhile tracking down as defeating them will reward you with plenty of loot and experience for your Job level. Cactuars are a dangerous foe, they have a needle attack that can wipe out your entire health bar with one hit. To beat Cactuars your party will need to work as a team and overwhelm their Break Gauge with the Lightbringer skill.
