
In Rage 2 Projects unlock passive and active perks for your character which can range from improving bag space to damage dealt. These Projects become unlocked by connecting with certain NPCs in the game. When you unlock your relationship with said NPC, you will unlock their Projects list.
Search & Recover for Dr Kvasir:
Arks, Ranger Echoes, and Feltrite Meteors.
Capture & Control for Loosum Hagar:
Pit Stops, Road Chokers, Repowering Stations, Convoys, and Authority Sentries.
Kill & Destroy for John Marshall:
Mutie Nests, Electro Forges, Bandit Dens, and Crusher Nests.
To unlock Project Upgrades which include things such as bonus ammunition and additional inventory space you need to earn Project Points which is accomplished by completing certain mission objectives, and conditions. These are listed below.
Vehicles
Effect: Unlock the 'Vehicles' menu and the Phoenix.

Unlocked Overdrive Multiplier
Effect: Increase the cap for the Overdrive Multiplier to 10x to enable more Overdrive and Feltrite Cells to be generated from kills.

Effect: Enables switching back and forth between weapon modifications of the same tier.

Moving Target
Effect: Damage taken from enemy bullets while sprinting is reduced by 30%.

Overdrive Slide Kick
Effect: During Overdrive, crouch slide into a light enemy to launch them into the air.

Critical Strike
Effect: A 15% chance to trigger a heavy impact Melee Strike that inflicts 50% more damage.

Effect: Carry an additional 25% more of each type of bullet ammunition.

Effect: Carry up to 8 throwables of each type.
