If you hope to survive the violent world of Rage 2 you will need to collect a resource material called Feltrite so you can upgrade the Nanotrite Abilities of your character. Feltrite is usually dropped by enemies, or found in chests as random loot and a lot of it is needed to upgrade these powerful offensive attacks or passive abilities. Each Nanotrite power has unique perks that make them more useful in the field. In order to upgrade them and access these perks, you need to use materials called Nanotrite Boosters. You can get Nanotrite Boosters by either opening up Ark Chests or purchasing them from vendors. The former is the most common method since Ark Chests are littered everywhere in the world. Below is a Nanotrite Ability Guide that explains the effect of each ability when it is used.
Shatter
Shatter is a lethal kinetic blast that forces enemies away from you. If strong enough it can cause armour breaking results in close range combat.
Slam
Slam is a ground-pound attack that creates an almighty shock wave that sends those in your wake flying in all directions. The effectiveness of Slam is based on height, the higher up you are, the more powerful the Slam.
Vortex
This grenade skill sucks enemies together on impact and sends them flying in all directions.
Barrier
Raise your own portable shield which is able to block incoming fire and instantly kill almost anything that comes into contact with it. Barrier is particularly effective when used with Vortex as it will drag your enemies directly into your shield.
Grav-Jump
This ability uses a booster that gives an extra burst of lift when you are airborne. It is basically a double jump which when combined with Slam will give you a more powerful ground-pound attack.
Rush
This is a sprint boost that allows you to move fast. It is particularly useful when you want to chase down enemies to blast through them.
Focus
This ability highlights Feltrite and enemies so you can know their location. When Focus is upgraded it will highlight Feltrite and enemies with a farther range.
Constitution
This ability protects you from incoming bullet damage and also has a passive ability that heals you over time. It also regenerates your health when picking up Feltrite. Upgrades increase damage reduction from enemy bullets.
Defibrillation
This ability gives you a chance to save yourself from dying. When you are taken down you will be presented with a quick-time event that allows you to get back in the action.
Overdrive
The combined use of your Nanotrite abilities in battle will charge your Overdrive bar. Once in Overdrive your abilities will gain unique perks, your health will restore dramatically and the amount of damage you deal will increase.
