Silent Grenades

To create a grenade that will not make a noise and attract attention when it explodes but will have the same effect as a traditional grenade you just have to put two spring razors in an empty bottle or whale oil canister and then throw it at a group of enemies.

Think.

If you're going for a clean, no kill play through be careful where you place any unconscious bodies you're at fault for. Don't put them where rats may devour them, near bodies of water, or on sloping rooftops where they may make to their death while you're seeing to Granny Rags half an hour later.

Tallboys.

An easier, but not so stealth-like method of removing Tallboys is to shoot the Whale oil tank on their back.

Good things come to those who wait.

Patience, patience, patience! You'll be so very surprised how much doing doing can achieve. It really does pay to wait around in a nice dark corner overseeing things to get a perspective of how things unfold. Guards paths, locations of paths, and animals, things that may even distract the ones you wish to avoids, plan carefully and then tread.

Battering your way through can be achieved also, half of the time, but just makes the path ahead that bit more difficult, with increased awareness, chaos and rats, with less weaponry and resources to rely upon, as well as having to look out for the loot it takes to replace your lost goodies.

Bide you time!

Eavesdrop.

Your targets do not always have to assassinated, they can be dealt with in neutral means. The ways to go about finding out these means is usually by eavesdropping and interacting with as many NPCs as possible, and they'll leak useful information that will lead to neutralization... If you have your thinking cap on.

Trophy : Mostly Flesh And Steel

This requires you to complete the game with no magic other than Blink. However, if you enhance you Blink, you won't be able to complete it. So use only the basic.

No Kill

When playing to avoid being spotted throughout the game, save money by only purchasing Sleep Darts for the bow. Also don't bother with the extra Darts slots, as it only accommodates regular darts.

Easter Egg.

Second balcony you come accross in mission 2, you'll see writing crossed out on the walls. "Long live the Entress"

Has been scribbled out by a survivor, and re-written to read "She was a wench!"

Thief: The Dark Project Easter Egg

Look for two guards in training at Daud's Base when you play Mission 7: 'Flooded District'. Their dialogue is identical to the tutorial mission in the classic PC game 'Thief: The Dark Project'.
