Moneybags is a really annoying character in the game and I always enjoy watching the demos of him getting beat up. If you haven't defeated the sorceress yet then you won't know about this: When you have defeated the sorceress in the arena with Agent 9 and return to the Midnight Mountain home you will find Moneybags on a bridge (if you look for him) he will tell you how he is going to sell a dragon egg in Avalar and then he gets rather shifty and runs away.
Follow him and either keep charging him or keep flaming him. Every time you flame or charge him yellow and purple gems fly out of him, they are all the gems you have payed him throughout the game. After a while if you keep at flaming him will stop and give you an egg then flee (don't bother following him this time).

Go to the area where the egg cages are, then go behind the little building they are on and kick the light brick wall.
This should reveal the area the purple gem is in.

on spyro 3 there are 20 skill points available. here are all of them-

1) Keep a sharp eye out for the two free life butterflies in Sunrise Spring. The second is on a ledge above where the flight tunnel lets out. Ignore the gems the first time through (you don't need to fly to get them anyway), then fly up and left as you exit. If you time it right, you should drop onto the ledge with the butterfly when your flight powerup runs out.
2) Yes, the camera has a lot of problems during Shiela's quest to climb the high tower to Rapunzel in Sunrise Spring. Set your camera to "active," go sloooowly and hit the triangle button a lot to look through her eyes -- and even that doesn't always work. It's frustrating, but doable. Go to molten crater and go in the lava until sparks is gone and right as you hit the lava(it takes practice)pause and exit the level.now if you hit a sheep you will not gain sparks back.and you connot pause the game now.also if you go in the lake next to the portal you will be walking in water and you can breath fire under water and glide but you cannot get out so you will have to reset the playstation.also save your progress before dying because you can't pause the game.(i forgot to save and I lost all my gems I collected in that time and now I have to collect all them again.)happy gaming

The cheat for the "squid-board" really works! All you need to do is go on a skateboard,pause and press up up left left right right down down square circle square.




( P.S. It gets you a lot of points and is easy to handle.)

On the level Icy Peak, there are gems under the ice. Many people probably wonder how to get to them.




In the center of one of the pools of ice, that's in a hall, there's a big crack in the ground.




You have to glide there without touching the ice and do a headsmash.




If you hit it dead on it will break and you can swim under all the ice you thought you could never get under.

Pause your game, and then do the following:
99 Lives: R2, L2, R2, L2, Up, Up, Up, Up, Circle

Sparx Treasure-finding (without doing Sparx worlds): Right, Right, Left, Left, Right, Right, Left, Left, Circle, Circle, Circle

Extra Hit Point (without doing Sparx worlds): Circle, R1, Circle, L1, Circle, R2, Circle, L2, Circle
Change Spyro's Color: Up, Left, Down, Right, Up, Square, R1, R2, L1, L2, Up, Right, Down, Left, Up

These cheats are good. They allow you to swim all over the place as if you had SuperFly constantly. There are 2 levels where you can do this.
Bamboo Terrace: You have to go to the end part where there is the waterfall and the two islands. Go right to the edge of the waterfall where you drop off, and dive with the square button. If you did it right, you should be swimming above the water, just by the waterfall. Don't, worry, the Dino Mines swimming cheat is easier.
Dino Mines: To swim here, you have to get to the bit near the end where Zoe zaps you after you leave the water. (There's a dinosaur with pistols in front of you if that helps.) Just get her to zap you underwater by diving with square when she's about to wave her wand at you. Then run into the TNT boxes und..

This may not sound like a cheat, but I'm sure you all know about the 'impossible tower' in Midnight Mountain. Isn't it driving you crazy? Me too! I've been playing this game for years, and it just won't stop taunting me. People say there's no way to get to it, but I believe it has something to do with the annoying chirping cricket on the gliding platform to get to the egg on the small tower facing the tall tower behind the rocket, whereas that's the ONLY location where you hear a cricket in the entire game, I'm sure. And don't listen to those "press X 500 times then jump off the bridge blah blah..." They're spam and clearly useless. If you want to sprain your thumb sitting their pressing buttons for nothing, be my guest. Some of those cheats are good for a laugh I guess, but no good. Any..

Go to Hunter the cat after defeating the "Sunny Villa" level. He will guide you to a tunnel. Go into the the tunnel wear you see "Zoe" the fairy.




She will tell you to go into a Flying Power-Up. Go in to the power-up and you will fly very far.




Turn the corner in the tunnel and press down and you will fly up. There is an egg in the hole.

There is a secret area in the dinomines the you have to swim in air to get to

3 got to the edge of the cliff after killing the dinos and face the fiery

5 now kill spyro but don't get zap agin you should be swiming in air

7 if it's the right one ther will be a round room the floor in the mitle is rased if you go to the mitle you will exit and fall to your deth

Here are the steps to swim underwater in Midday Garden:
1: Go to Midday Garden
2: Go behind the Superflame Powerup where Zoe is.
3: Try to jump on that rock (It's tough, though)
4: Go through the rock on the right of you
5: Glide below the area where there's shallow water
6: Press ▲ (Triangle button) twice (It's a bit tough)
7: After that, you'll be able to swim in the air!
You can explore ALL over the level! You can swim under the icy area where Icy Peak's portal is. You can go to the left of the building where the balloon, flying platform, or the rocket sits, and you should notice a room smaller than the building (It's not the Sorceress' room though), but if you get closer to it, it'll disappear.

Do you really want to lose 500 jewels in Spooky Swamp or lose a life point ?
Simple . Just don't open the door and if you see a bit of river , jump across the other side, don't do it if you have less then 1 point or 2 . You will die .

You might not think this is a cheat, but here it goes.




I noticed that some people said to get "Death Spyro" you had to be in Molten Crator.




Well, thats wrong, you can do it in any wourld with lava, and with any character.

I noticed many people on the site asking how to 'Find Agent 9's Powerup' which is the skill point in Fireworks factory. All you have to do is go into Agent 9's warp room.




The first room where the kid is (I think that he's named Handel, But who gives) and then go into the second room. Hold down O for rapid fire and shoot all the ninjas there.




Next go into the next room and then clear out all the ninjas and gunmen and destroy the boxes, then go back to the sliding doors sliding between the third room and the second room and press triangle and look up at the top of the roof.




There should be a red box thingy. Shoot it to get a skill point, a new life and a better advanced laser. This laser is rainbow coloured and is..

In the bonus leavel an easy way to beat the snowboarders is to go stand in a blue star shaped powerup before you decide to race.




Then go back to hunter and say you are ready to race.




If you stand in the power up long enough you should be able to go through the whole course without needing to do another trick.

I have finished the game and got all of the skill points in the snow boarding level in super bonus world.




I can't beat the course record could some one please tell me how to and what it does sent in by a person how rules!

DTom's cheat code for the hidden mini portal in Dino Mines really works! All you have to do is follow these instructions:
For this trick, you will need more than one life. In Dino Mines, swim to the end of the flodded tunnel, and get Zoe to zap you underwater.(Just as DTom said, It takes a while to get zapped underwater) Purposely run Spyro off of a cliff. You will reapear swimming in mid air! Swim over all of the ciffs until you get to the first bridge. Swim across the bridge and through the building on the other side.
When you get out of the back door of the building, you should see a cliff in front of you swim left, and then around to the back. You Should see a portal inside of the cliff.
Swim under the cliff.(be careful not to swim into the neverend..

When you get 177% THAT IS THE END OF THE GAME. There are no more levels, eggs, gems, whatever. Just to answer the person asking about 117% on the cheats page.

Here are some of the tricky skillpoints that some of you may find it hard to find them yourself.
Assemble tiki heads: Get all the heads in a line in Sgt. Byrd's bonus level in Molten Crator
Glide to the pedestal: In Icy Peak, at the place where you chase the thieves, find the highest point in there(make sure you know where the tower is where the 2nd thief is/was)and glide to it and land there.
Note: If the 2nd thief is still there, then flame it aswell.
Destroy all seaweed: In Desert Ruins, find Hunter's bonus place, use his manta ray's firing ability at the seaweed.

Know in the bio how the seals invent the sport of "squidbording"? Wel you can get one! Just get on a skateboard and pause the game. Then press up, up, left, left, right, right, down, down, square, circle, square. You will now be on a squidboard.

About 2 years ago some one had dileberately scratched my disc of the game. So this is hard for me to submit but here goes...
With Seargent Bird in his first mission you play as him (I think! The one where you save his fellow bird companions anyway) close to the end, keep flying past the end and nearer to the base of the green wall type...whatever there is a light green sort of arch shape. Load ye weapons of mass destruction and FIRE!!!!!
There should be a door behind there.
By the way you will have to fire at least 21 missiles at the wall!

There is two ways to swim in air
1. Find a place where the water is level or very close to ground level and dive with spyro up agnsed the ground
2.find a fiery that is above water that is close to water that you can swim in and get zaped by the when you are under water

For the level warp code cheat to work, you must have compleated the last sparx challeng as this is the new abillity he is given. You can not do it any other how.

MIDNIGHT MOUNTAIN PURPLE PLATFORM:


Incase you have not noticed, in Midnight Mountain, there is a purple platform that is out of reach. One of the biggest Questions asked about the Spyro trilogy is:




Q: How do you get up to the out of reach platform in Midnight Mountain? And if you even CAN get up there? What is up there?


A: There is no Definite way to get up to the out of reach platform.




The only way I can think of to get up there is by using a Gameshark or Action Replay cheat device.




I could not tell you what is up there, I have not been up to the platform myself.

To get extra lives , go anywhere but preferably midday garden home. once there, find two rabbits to the left of where u land your (rocket,whirlygig,parachute).




Charge both of them. then go to the large group of rabbits by the stairs. charge them. then go up the stairs and charge the two rabbits by spooky swamp.




Then o up the stairs and charge those two rabbits. then go even further two the river.




charge that group of rabbits. then follow the river to the waterfall and charge the large group of rabbits again. keep on doing this.along the way mystical butterflies (or whatever you would like to call them) will come out of the rabbits.

In Bamboo Terrace you can do Bentley's


warp hole even if you haven't unlocked him yet. Here's whiat you have to do:




You have to get swimming in the air, and


then you have to carefully go underneath the island where you finish the level.




Keep swimming until you see


Bentley's warp hole. Never go above the ground or swim down too low. If you go above the ground you will have to start over.




When you see Bentley's warp hole swim up into it. Then you will turn into


Bentley.
