Listed below are several Beginners Tips and Tricks which will help you in Pikmin Bloom.
How to Grow your Pikmin Collection
Pikmin Bloom is a simple game, you just walk around your neighborhood using the tools you are given at the start to collect Pikmin. The gameplay cycle is as follows.
- Plant Pikmin in your backpack.
- Walk around until they are fully grown.
- Pull them out and interact with them.
- They bring you another sprout to grow.
The best way in which to play Pikmin Bloom is to take advantage of the Adventure Sync option, and that enables you to set the game up to read your footsteps as you go to work or exercise. Once you have done this, you need to check the game periodically in order to collect any new items that your Pikmin may have brought back to you so that you are able to continue growing. As you walk you will gain levels, and the more flowers you plant, the more waypoints will spawn, which will enable your Pikmin to grow even faster. Feed your Pikmin
You need to feed your Pikmin in order for them to collect petals. There are several types of items in Pikmin that will enable you to do this, the main one being Nectar. You will be able to buy most of these purchasable items with in-game coins, and they will allow you to grow more plants at a time. In Pikmin Bloom you get a coin every time you plant 500 flowers, the most coins you will be able to attain in one day is 30. There is also the option to spend real money to purchase storage increases and large chunks of coins.
Level Up to Expand your Collection of Pikmin
To expand your Pikmin collection and gain access to different color variations, you will need to level up. Each level increases the amount of Pikmin you can have by one. Pikmin Bloom has a max level cap of 60, all the features in the game will become unlocked once you have reached level 19. Expanding your Pikmin collection will enable you to take on raids. This can be done either solo or in multiplayer, by adding friends or teaming up with nearby players to complete the larger raids.
Harvest Fruit to get Nectar
Fruit such as lemons and strawberries are an essential source of sustenance in Pikmin Bloom. Continually feeding the main character and the Pikmin themselves is a key part of the game, which is why most of the missions revolve around harvesting fruit for both parties. When you feed your Pikmin fruit which has turned into Nectar their population will grow. Keep in mind that different color fruits will create different types of Pikmin.
Raise Pikmin Friendship Levels
Feeding Nectar made from the fruit you find to the Pikmin will also raise their friendship levels. This becomes important when you start unlocking challenges later on in the game, as having high friendship levels will help you win easier. The more Pikmin you have in your team, the more Nectar you will be able to collect.
Explore New Areas
Different types of Pikmin will start appearing as you discover new places and areas. The Pikmin that spawn will be different colors which will be tied to the location you found them, and they will have skills related to their color and design.
Send Pikmin on Expeditions
Pikmin Bloom tasks you with going out and exploring areas, or retrieving items. Once you have leveled up several times, you will unlock the feature to send a group of Pikmen off on Expeditions. When you send a group of Pikmin off on an Expedition, they will collect fruits, which can then be turned into Nectar to feed your Pikmin. Aside from finding food, the group of Pikmin will also find new outfits for the Mii avatars, accessories, and new types of Pikmin.
